Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will Capcom be able to retain relevancy in this gen?

Well.. they still have Monster Hunter. And an Ultimate version of IV is coming, so.....

yeah... I believe they will still survive. But they will lose relevance anyway

Lmao, worthless franchises?

Yeah, they are getting worthless by the minute ... Capcom is down to Monster Hunter and if they fuck that up then it's game over for capcom. What franchises have being able to change their terrible image ?

It's quite clear that their franchises are getting more worthless as sales show and you can't even seem to grasp the fact meaning you clearly don't understand business.

Sure. Forget about Street Fighter, DMC, Mega Man, or Resident Evil.

Well they still have Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, and Street Fighter which can all bring in money.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Mega man flopped. Resident Evil flopped. DMC flopped. Street fighter is flopping too.

What makes you think these are valuable franchises if they do nothing but FLOP ?

It just shows that you have no understanding of business and you further proved it by denying SALES.

One mess up doesn't make a franchise worthless. Case in point, Final Fantasy. If one fuck up made a series worthless, it would have died long before XIII. Yet XIII, XIII-2, and XIII Lightning Returns continue to be million sellers. People hate them, but they tried them because of brand recognition. Now there's tons of excitement for FFXV. Or look at Zelda. With every release, it gets people that hate it and people that love it. It has an immensely split fanbase that makes Sonic look united. Yet it doesn't lose it's value. If it did, it would have died after Wand of Gamelon on the CD-i. You can't just throw an absolute word like "worthless" around as though it were relative. There is no such thing as "more worthless". That's not a thing. It's either worthless or it isn't. And those franchises aren't worthless, just damaged.

Alright guys, calm it down a little. It's getting a bit heated.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

One fuck up is enough to kill an entire franchise ... The FF brand was more on the lines of damaged than being worthless and the same goes with zelda. Those franchises are worthless aside from resident evil though and SALES are showing it! If resident evil has one more fuck up in the main series it's over for them.

Hey, I'm the one calm here! It's not my fault that others refuse to face the facts ...

The bold directly contradicts the italics and is a logical fallacy.

Again it all depends ... No contradiction here.
