The year of Luigi has been a pretty popular idea, bolstering the fanbase's morale, and lead to excellent sales for Luigi's Mansion 2.

With the year of Luigi over, a lot of us expected an official year of Yoshi given that Ninty has 2 Yoshi-themed games in the works (Yoshi's island and Yoshi's Yearn) and crossover games where Yoshi appears (MK8, Mario Golf).

So, why didn't it happen? Might 2014 be the year of QoL instead?

Terrible review scores on his recent game and Yoshi and his games in general aren't very popular... They should do either the Year of Zelda instead or the Year of Metroid but please not the year of Yoshi, hes not ready for it yet and neither am I

I would guess exactly like Galaxy 2, with 3D Land physics. I just hope there is no main series Mario game this year.
