It'll be at least 6 months before you see any of those titles being given away. On the business side of it, the game publisher sez "This game isn't selling well at retail anyway. No one's downloading right now either. Let's take a lump of cash for it from Sony right now." All the others except Knack are still selling well at retail. Of anything in the list, Tomb Raider probably has the best shot at getting in there. Wouldn't be surprised if Rayman Legends showed up in PS+ though either. That's a great way to make a bunch of Nintendo fans mad though. |
"Shovelware indies" - lol
Are Resogun, Don't Starve, Outlast and Dead Nation shovelware?

From what I gather, no.
Given the success Sony has with the PS4 to date, they don't need to put their best games out on PS+. Indies creating high-quality games for that matter know they can be successful without the PS+ promotion.

Like the games I mentioned above?
I'm sure many of them would be happy to be the headline title of the month. It's not like they're giving their game away for free (Sony pays them).

I know that. See underlined portion. Profit per download would be much smaller under PS+ offering .
