We can clearly see the progress between Wii U and 7th generation (HD) consoles from Nintendo's competition...

Compare Little Big Planet Kart with Mario Kart 8, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale with Super Smash Bros U, Bayonetta with Bayonetta 2,...

Here is shots of White Knight Chronicles(PS3) and Monolith Soft's X... Compare them...

well thats a very unfair comparison, since graphics have advanced so much,  no so much becuase of the hardware, but because of new techniques/engines, especially in lighting, and then your comparing sony's lowest budget titles/teams to nintendo best, compare those 3d mario to GOW3 both linear games, god of war stumps it, as for baynetta  it was platnums first game on 360, it was like 5 years ago, they easily be able to makr a better looking game then first since they have way more experiance now, not to mention DMC4 looks so much better then bayonetta.

as for Knight Chronicles(PS3) and Monolith Soft's X. you can clearly see they are close knight chronicls seems to have better AA, and X better lighting, but as i mentioned before lighting engines have advanced so much since KC came out.

I hope you're buying your bs, no one else is.

Nice job comparing a 2008 game with 2014 game.

were comparing a game thats 5 years old, and it still has better image quality in that pic, graphics have advanced since that time and like i said its not about the hardware as devlopers will always learn how make graphics look better with time by learning new techinques or copying othere devlopers, anybody remember the 1st uncharted, with its amazing lighting for its time, a year later every game has similaer lighting.

I agree with you when comes to new techniques and games engines being developed on the same hardware as time passes because efficiency in utilization of the hardware increases yet when comes to utilization of the hardware we can obviously see who has the edge also claiming that comparison is rather unfair is a stretch... What you are doing is unfair and denying it means that you have double standards...

Xbox 360 is Microsofts and PlayStation 3 is Sony's first high definition home console and Wii U is for Nintendo first also.

White Knight Chronicles's is Level 5's(with help from SCE Japan) first HD game and same is valid for X that is Monolith Soft's first HD game and both studios didn't had any previous experience into HD development. WKC is not a low budget game except if you are comparing to triple A budget games of today or to be more specifics, standards nowadays. Level 5 and Monolith Soft are on the same level now in prominence/reputation. Second screen was from White Knight Chronicles 2 and not the first one/original, it looks better than original yet it does not look near as good as Monolith Soft's X and Level 5 by then had 3-4+ years of experience in HD development also they get help from SCE Japan.

Also your comparison of Super Mario 3D World with God Of War 3 is extremely fair because they aren't in the same genre and I compared games that are in same genre, you are comparing a platformer with a hack n slash game. I might as well compare Little Big Planet Kart with Forza games on Xbox 360 that is simulation racer rather than with Mario Kart 8 which is a kart racer/in the same genre and sub category. Your comparison is like comparing apples with oranges which is an epic/utter failure...

Here is screenshots from around the net of Bayonetta 2, God Of War 3, Devil May Cry 4 and single screenshot of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance also Bayonetta 2 screenshots are either taken from youtube video of Nintendo Direct or directly from its stream or from Platinum Games 60 FPS videos. I tried to find most comparable situations and settings/set up;

As you can see... Bayonetta 2 is superior in detail in comparison to God Of War 3, Devil May Cry 4 and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance that is made by Platinum Games. I looked for comparable shots, like settings, size of bosses and number or enemies and also that screenshots are not bullshots.

as for Knight Chronicles(PS3) and Monolith Soft's X. you can clearly see they are close knight chronicls seems to have better AA, and X better lighting, but as i mentioned before lighting engines have advanced so much since KC came out.

Screens of Monolith Soft's X are taken from youtube video of Nintendo Direct or directly from Nintendo Direct's stream thus there screens suffer from compression which lowers quality of picture considerably and I tried to find screens that suffer the least from these compression versus screens of White Knight Chronicles that are taken directly from the console/hardware/in-game compared to presented screens of Monolith Soft's X which is not.

Both games were/will be released at comparable periods in their lifecycle. Two years after the release of the console. If the logic that I've seen in other threads in regards to the PS4 and XBOne holds, that they are not optimized enough to show vast improvements over the latest games of last generation, then the same should hold for the Wii U vs. last generation, which means that we should compare games that were released after similar periods of time in their life cycles. If you are to argue that there is software technique advancement, we can always remember that Nintendo games are made with their own proprietary engines and Nintendo didn't develop games with such graphical feats back then. The comparison is not only valid but optimal.

nice try those baynetta 2 pics are super sampled/ aka bull shots here what baynetta 2 really looks like

main problem wih this theory is, both 360/ps3 were so ahead of there time, that garphics needed to actually catch up the hardware, were talking about a 20x jump in power, wiiu at best case scenerio would be a 1.5x jump, which developers have stated its not.

Terrible DMC 4 shots. Screens straight from the 360/PS3 versions via Eurogamer.

Your screens look like a PC version with low textures or something.

A 2008 720p60 game keeping up with a 2014 game on hardware that's apparently "twice" as strong >_>

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

THAT IS NOT GOD OF WAR 3! You also need to find DMC5 pictures instead! The difference is DMC5 runs at 30FPS on consoles and Bayo2 runs at 60FPS and DMC5 runs on lawlz UE3 while GoW3 ran at an average of 45FPS on fixed camera angles. The Wii U is more powerful than the PS3 and 360 yes, but it's not a power house by a long shot. I don't know why people are still arguing in this thread about it.
