Forums - Gaming - How to detect a bad game?

We sometimes detect a bad game without playing or seeing them. How can this be? Well here are some scenerios.

BTW this are not always accurate. There are some good game that might fall in this definiton.

1. Available platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, 3ds, PS Vita, Android and iOS.

2. Movie games: "Relieve your favorite movie in ths awesome game. With mindblowing graphics and awesome story". Lol.

3. Any $60 game with microtransactions and episodic paid DLC.

4. 7th edition of the same game.

5. Any capcom game.

These are the options that came into my mind. What about you? Can you put more options?

If the average is below 6.9 on meta-critic, 90% of the time its a terrible game

Spot on. Lol. Ha ha ha.

A game is bad when it doesn't get a 10 from both IGN and Gamespot.

Fixed :)

Step 1: Watch YouTube Walkthroughs or Let's Play from least annoying YouTuber you can find.
Step 2: After watching 15 to 20 minutes or gameplay determine if game is good or bad.

Yeah, it's not perfect but I can usually tell from the first 20 minute vid if the game will grab me.

Metal Gear Solid 4 and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are the only exceptions in this case!

Dynasty Warriors 8 plus umpteen 2D fighters would like a word with you

Street fighter IV (Not that edition you are sying). The term "bad" is subjective. But in "my point of view" rehashing makes a game utterly disgusting.
