I know that bioshock is somewhat overrated but it's still one of the better games. I liked the splicers because their one hard son of a bitches to kill but I'm not sure why you hate them so much.

Jump straight ahead to Bioshock 2. I never liked Bioshock 1. Too overrated. Bioshock 2, on the other hand, too underrated for being considered a "bastard copy" of B1.
