★ Ridley Decreases His Size To Join The Battle ★

 

 

Topic of today is CAN and SHOULD Ridley from the Metroid Universe be a playable character in SSB for WiiU/3DS?

 

As we know Lots of Fans of both series (metroid+ssb) has been wanting this Titanic Villan to join the fray since Melee was brought to life. We did get Ridley however as a boss fight (ridley + meta ridley so actually twice) in SSBB Subspace Emissary but it still wasnt enough!!!

 

If Ridley did become a playable character he definitely be by far the biggest. I definitely see him being unique especially with his size. How do you feel about this?

→ Most Known/Popular Character in the Metroid Franchise (outside of Samus)

→ Another Metroid Representive (if you dont count ZSS)

→ We Need More Villans

→ Would definitely have a unique playstyle

→ Too Damn Big

→ It is hinted he is a stage hazard for a WiiU stage (Metroid Other M Stage)

Also at this point I believe chibi robot will be a new character.

lol. Im going to give Chibi Robot his own thread later. personally i think an assist trophy fits him but thats just me

Definitely. Most important Metroid character besides Samus, and Metroid is one of the most important Nintendo Franchises

Btw here's a size comparison from a Metroid game... He's not that big here :)

Dear goddess yes.

They only need to decrease it's size to the original Metroid size and we'd have an amazing new playable character. Having said that, it's highly unlikely it'll ever happen

I think he should be a tab bit taller than bowser. Also be the heaviest character in the game! I did forget he was that size though lol

the thing is Nobody really knows those characters at all (unless you played Metroid Hunters). I cant think of one aside from Dark Samus (pls no) that is even close to Ridley as being popular in the metroid series!!!

Yeah and noone really knew who Marth and Roy were before melee, but they gained popularity. Having a Metroid character that's not that well known in Smash could aid the next WiiU one since Retro mentioned that they'd like to expand the Metroid universe.

People knew who they were... they are called Japanese gamers :P Seriously though Marth is the poster boy of FE so its not comparable (imo of course). If Ridley doesn't get in (i personally dont think he will) then i think Samus Will be the only representative from Metroid series (again)
