Hey guys, I just bought my PS4 last Thursday and everything's been working great except for the standby function in a specific situation. It does work as expected when there is something to download in the background, for example, if I start to download a game and then standby the PS4, the orange line appears on the PS4 and I can turn it back on anytime I want. But if I put the PS4 on standby without any tasks to run in the background (or if it finishes any background tasks), it will turn itself off completely without any lights on and it will not charge the controller either, and when I try to turn it back on it won't respond to the press of the power sensor on the console or the PS button on the controller, which will keep blinking as if it were looking for the console. From this moment, the only thing that will allow me to turn it back on is to unplug the PS4 and plug it back again. When I turn it on from this state, most of the times it goes directly to the XMB as normal, only one time I saw the message telling me to turn it off properly.
I'm not too worried because It's the only bug I've encountered so far, besides I know that the console just came out and maybe this can be patched in the future. I'd like to hear about your experience with this feature so far and if there's anything you guys know that can fix this or be the source of the problem. The PS4 is connected by HDMI to an LG 3DTV and I haven't modified it in any way (It has the stock 500GB HD). So, do you think that this is nothing to worry about, or is it time to contact GameStop (they told me that it came with a 30 day warranty) or Sony and try to get a replacement?
UPDATE: The PS4 beeps once when I press the power sensor, and the line turns blue for about one second, then nothing. I guess it is a power supply issue. I contacted Sony and they will send me a service order box. Hope they send me a replacement.
