I need new weekly numbers.

I think PS4 is selling so much that VGC can't track all these numbers.

PS4: 149 643

XB1: 82 314

3DS: 151 502

Wii U: 47 319

for jan 18

If this is true.....well....It's seems that the Xone's demand is over!!!

If it's true, it's still double that of the Wii U's January weekly numbers last year, and equivalent to the PS3's first January weekly numbers.

Which is not saying much, the market is bigger now and ps3 was 599. Wii-u sales well it doesn't take much to beat wii-u sales sadly. The ps3 also never launched in europe at that time.

The base PS3 model was the same price as the Xbox One, $499. The PS3 hadn't released in Europe yet, but the Xbox One hasn't released in alot of countries either. Also, I don't think anoyone would debate that the Xbox One has a better first year lineup than the PS3 did.

PS3 not even being in europe during that time kind of underscores my point. Not good numbers for x1. Not sure what your comment about games has to do with anything., ps3 actually had a decent launch lineup. Those other countries are such a tiny portion of sales for MS they won't make much of a difference.

My point is that if the Xbox One can at least keep pace with the PS3 the rest of the year it'll sell fairly well, PS3 had sold 9.2m by the end of 2007, and the Xbox One had a bigger first Nov + Dec than the PS3, in other words if Xbox One at least keeps pace with the PS3 the rest of the year the Xbox One will end 2014 with over 10m sold.

Those remaining countries make up a more significant chunk of Xbox sales than you think, last gen they accounted for about 15-20% of the 360's total sales (and this generation there's a new market up for grabs that wasn't around last gen due to consoles being banned there, China, which could possibly be a rather substantial market). 15-20% of the Xbox One's sales so far is an additonal 480-640k consoles sold.

The market is way bigger now and MS made big inroads last gen in marketshare don't think they would be happy with falling back this gen.
