The last Nintendo game I bought was Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Since that day I don't trust Nintendo anymore, because it was actually a peninsula.

I doubt I'll read anything funnier that this today. LMFAO!

Local multiplayer is fine, but people expect some sort of online multiplayer these days as well. Hopefully recent events force Nintendo to realise this.

Dudebros would rather be alone having sex while playing call of duty. Not stuck in a room with other dudes trying to figure out why they don't have girlfriends.

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

they cna still cater to the core who like IRL gmaing with friends with better hardware that also caters to the masses who like online play.

i.e, I dont need bluray playback etc.. However the masses like having that ability, does it hurt Nintendo to have it? No.

People don't got time for person to person multiplayer anymore, come on Nintendo! They rather be next door, talking via microphone while playing Dudebro Warfare 10 and Football Allstars 15!
But seriously, Metroid, StarFox, and F-Zero can benefit from an online multiplayer mode.

Nintendo needs to create more online experiences. Super Mario 3D World should have been the introduction of an online co-op adventure title from Nintendo. But as Iwata pointed out, he doesn't understand the trends of Western gaming at the moment. He is catering to a Japanese crowd primarily, where the culture is vastly different with compact living. The fact that the Mario Kart, Smash Bros. and Pokemon games, (that all have both online and offline functionality), are among their best selling core titles cannot be a coincidence. It's about pushing titles as far as they go. They should push both local and online multiplayer in their games. Local is unfortunately becoming a lost art, and Nintendo should keep pushing to keep it around, but they also need to cater to a Western lifestyle where local co-op is just not feasible.

No wonder Nintendo is stuck in 2001. With statements from their faithful like these........

Times have changed. Most people don't want to get friend and bring then at the house to play games anymore.
There is something called the INTERNET. where people can all curse each other together and hate each other at games together. And guess what ? They can all have A LIFE WITHOUT SOCIAL INTERACTIONS WITH THE PERSON RIGTH AT THEIR SIDES, LIKE THEIRS FAMILIES. .... Crazy right !!!

Fixed for you.

Don't be silly, nobody would try to bring people to play in their house unless theiy needed it. And nintendo create this need at not put online.

Anyone who grow up playing games with people at their houses know that online multiplayer is just a very poor experience compared to the first at this moment.

Just ask yourself: is nitnendo loosing more money at not puting online in all of their games or at not have to pay online servers? I think this last result gave us the answer.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

There's already a response thread for this thread XD

Overpowered? WHAAAAAT!?

Seriously this thread wtf... The problem is that Nintendo doesn't have a online mode. Who said the local modes are horrible and should be excised? I want them in their games too. But I also want to play Mario with my friend in Australia. And be able to voice chat with him in a normal simple fashion.
