Titanfall Overhyped???

Forums - Gaming Discussion - Titanfall Overhyped???

it's the first time in a while that i got excited for a shooter

Around the Network

People who want to buy the game are interested in it. On the other hand, people who are not going to buy the game are even more interested in it.

Hype is justified given the previews. The "EA" part though still sends shivers of skepticism.

Yup, it's overhyped. Just like Uncharted.

ZING, but true.

At the same time, just like Mario.

It's like I said in the other thread; you have it in for Nintendo. And this is why I don't want to discuss things with you.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Seeing as Microsoft is throwing money at everyone on youtube to promote the X1, they are clearly doing the same with Titanfall. No wonder IGN is trying so hard to downplay the negative feedback with 6on6.

Most people already assumed this, but this puts a stamp on paid reviews also from the bigger gaming yourtube channels.

IGN flames up and downplays everything, like their "Does it really matter if the Wii U fails" article.

I was mildy intrigued until I saw the Alpha footage and realized it looked exactly Call of Duty. And I am sick to death of Call of Duty. If there's some sort of demo on the 360 then I'll check that out.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

That would be as absurd as to claim you have it in for sony because you said uncharted is overhyped, and for someone that doesn't want to discuss things you sure quote me and reply enough.

You can like Nintendo and not like Mario, you know, there isn't a golden rule that says "If you dislike Mario you SULLY THE NAME OF NINTENDO!", personally I like Xenoblade, Starfox, Pokemon, Metroid, Fatal frame, Earthbound and Zelda, X and ZeldaU are the main reasons my WiiU is still sitting patiently by the TV.

Take a chill pill phil.

Don't you people know? Being exclusive automatically makes the games 100 times better. Look at the Armored Core franchise. Despite being great games, hardly anyone has every paid to them and the games generally get low scores.

The proof in all this is Mechassault. Despite how poor the game is, especially compared to Armored Core, the game received massive praise as an exclusive and had high review scores all around. With 32 scores it's sitting at an 87 on Metacritic.

Not a mech game, but just want to point out what being exclusive does to ratings. Perfect Dark Zero. Yet another horrible game and with a high review score.  75 scores and it's sitting at an 81.

*edit*

Unless it's a Sony game.  For some reason, review sites don't drop to their knees and virtually felate Sony every time they receive an exclusive.  Except Ni No Kuni.  They had to pick one of the worst Sony games to shower with praise.

Yeah, the classical "Sony-is-always-the-victim" fan response. First of all: never trust review scores, they are misguiding since taste is a personal thing. We do know that this game has gotten massive praise from the press ASWELL as gamers around the world though. Being exclusive does not make a game better, but why must the opposite be true then?

When the first gameplay images of TLOU was shown, everyone celebrated it before even playing one bit of it. That is because people know what to expect from Naughty Dog. The same goes for the creators of the best COD to date, Respawn. In their case it has been strenghtend by the fact that alot of people have played it.

It plays much faster and has more level than COD. At the end of a game it leaves your heart pumping faster wanting more. Just the jetpack/wallrunning features alone give it that new feel. And that's just the Alpha.

Even if you really mean it, and you probably do, this particular line feels so forced and PR like, lol
