Forums - General Discussion - Got escorted out of a wine store because of an annoying gay dude today.

"And made me want to hate gay people in general for a while."

Absolutely ridiculous. When I came out my family was fine, then a couple of months later my brother said all gays should be murdered. It made me want to hate my whole family, especially my other brother, because they are family and straight just like the brother that said it...flawless logic...

By all means tell the other man to go fuck himself if a mild rebuke doesn't work a few times, but you are concentrating far too hard on his sexuality. If this actually happened, yes he was being far too forward, in which case you should have called over the clerk, told him what had occurred and smiled broadly as the "creature" was escorted from the store.

Edit: As to what happpened here, the man is camp in the first place because he is over-compensating for something he has been bullied about/worried about his whole life. He is throwing it in people's faces and using it as an armour of sorts so that those who insult him have no ammunition, he just camps it up more - similar to black men calling themselves niggers. You say the man then became extremely forward, and that is because of your response. You insulted him and so he thickened his skin and hitched up his armour, he became the ultimate fag. He came onto you even more, really camping it up and insisting that you are gay too so as to protect himself. I know it sounds weird but people are complex. You may gain a little satisfaction knowing that the "creature" is probably telling others what happened and laughing jovially, all the while probably cringing internally and wishing he was the straight white man.

I know a few gay people too, generally nice, but there was this one...
in school, we used to walk together because we went the same way, then one day randomly just stood outside my house, started getting all creepy on me and shit.
I used to think gay people were like super cool badassess since Kanji! But i guess they're normal people!
Any who... Sounds like you deserved to be kicked but he shouldnt have been so forward

no way

Because saying "Sorry, I'm not interested." is such a hard thing to do...

Now THAT is a direct and educated answer, but oh well... guess it's "a Jersey thing".

You were being an ass. You deserved to get kicked out. You used a derogatory term to refer to a gay person. It's never okay to call a gay person the F word. That's like calling a black person the N word and thinking that you were in the right because he made you a little uncomfortable and that instigated you. Grow the hell up.

You can write faggot and nigger, don't worry. I've always found dumb people who says "n-word" instead of nigger.

I can write what ever I want. If I'm critisizing him for using the word, why would I turn myself into a hypocrit by using them myself. I've always found that it's uneducated prics who don't have the decency to avoid using words that they are fully aware will offend an entire demographic as well as people with common courtesy.

Too bad, you didn't get to experience our awesome Argentinian wine man.

I had a thing like that happen to me. It was at a store with my mother and we where heading to pay for the clothes. A gay dude came and offered us belts! And I was like sure show me some of those! I finally decided on one and he said I should try it out. After that he gets behind me and starts putting me the belt. He was a friendly guy so I didn't insult him or anything, I just let him do his work. After that he gave me his phone number, and said I should call him.

I never called him of course and it was an awkward situation but I didn't get mad or insulted him. You where too harsh with that guy man.

You're not an hypocrite, because you're using his exact words to ilustrate your example. "Softing" them, feels dumb. For me, at least.

I wouldn't even have made the anal virginity loss comment. This guy would've just gotten knocked the f*ck out. I don't have a problem with gays either, so long as they don't bother me. Feel free to play for whatever team you want, just leave me alone.

0331 Happiness is a belt-fed weapon

He was out of line to touch you, but threatening to rape him and calling him a f*g? seriously?
Also why is it that the wrong doing of a gay guy is attributed to all gay guys? If a girl did that to you would you feel the same way about all girls?

Yeah, you kind of lost any sympathy you might have gotten with those last two responses, man. Wouldn't have mattered if the person hitting on you was gay or straight, that's the sort of language that gets you kicked out of places.

I doubt the scenario actually happened, he just wants to be homophobic and get away with it. Which won't work of course.

Okay Seece...

OT: The moment you started saying creature is the moment my brain melted away at the... "oddness" of your OP.
