When it comes to the Best Buy I work at it's like the Wii U all over again. We've had 25+ Xbox Ones for 2 weeks now and nobody is buying them. Then just yesterday we got even MORE of them. If this keeps up then just like the Wii U, we will have a pile of Ones for months untill Microsoft takes some back.

That's hardly surprising when we consider the facts. The Dallas Cowboys are America's team and what happened two weeks ago? They blew a 26-3 half time lead and lost an important game. That was the point when Cowboys fans threw in the towel and gave up on reaching the playoffs.

Well considering I live in Michigan the cause was most likely when the Detroit Lions choked against the Giants and ruined their playoff chances. That was the last straw and most of us gave up on life.

I agree with you. It your post makes alot of sense 2 me.

Sales for all three next gen consoles will slow in January due to overall lack of software, but the X1 won't do THAT bad.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

xbone won't do 600k.
ps4 won't do a million.

You're not understanding my thread. XBONE doesn't have to be doomed in America to have low sales world wide.

This member http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/84419/joethebro/#content expects the Xbox One to do worse in January than Wii U did. He expects 280k or less worldwide for the whole month. Many agreed with him. How can you guys possibly think this??!? Xbox One is still sold out in some area in the US. I live in the suburbs and you cannot find Xbox One units at best buy. Xbox One can easily do 200k the first week in January, then 150k the second week, 120k the third, and 120k in the fourth. Xbox One sales will be near 600k for the month of January. How can you guys possibly think that it will only do around 250k? I want to seriously learn how you guys came up with that number. I expect PS4 to do more than a Million in January and Wii U to do around 300k

Regarding stock, anybody that has $500+ to spend can surely figure out how to find an Xbox One without much trouble.

250k would be a minimum floor on sales I think.  My optimistic expectation is 350k~400k world wide.

If you want to know how to come up with those numbers, it's just by normal seasonal adjustment of sales.  Historically sales in January are around 25% of December.  XB1 will be around 1 Million for December, so 25% of that is 250k.  I add in a somewhat optimistic 50% boost since it's a new console to get around 375k.  If anything that's too much (you can quote me).

With the current stock picture: in US availability is so-so, while in Europe supply has already exceeded demand practically everywhere.  New consoles have not been so "in stock" this time of year, so don't expect unusually high boost in January.

ps4 could do a million if supply was there. Can't buy, what the stores don't have. hahahahaha.

i hope it does less than the WiiU, just so i can see your reaction

i will take it one step further and hope it does worse then the vita to see his reaction

If it does worse than Vita it will probably be because of those supply constraints.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I predicted correctly that toastboy would be the author of this article! I don't think that it'll do terribly, however I guess we'll see.

XOne AND PS4 will have a slow January. I wouldn´t be suprised if they end up with 300k and 400k.

Consoles are away from the main stream media. VGChartz says PS4 and XOne had the biggest console launch in history... but nobody seems to care.
