Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii U Sold Out at Walmart.com

Its a good sign. All those adds and Mario appear to be working.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

What? No! Let's fix this biased thread: they had only a couple of consoles, so is easy to sell all 3 of them!

anyway: good for Nintendo, but I really think they only had few Wii U's to sell

The world as we know it has ended...

Any sellout is a good sellout, although it's likely that the anti-hype about the Wii U going into the holiday season against the mondo hype for... everything else could have caused more or less all retailers to under-order, after having half a year (or worse, in Europe's case) of stock sit around from last Christmas.

So it could be that Nintendo overstuffed last year, but undersold this year...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

If there's still steady demand in January, I'll put more stock in this (geddit?). But at least Nintendo's moving some units.

It's been sold out at a considerable amount of places actually. Amazon was bone dry a few hours ago.
