I'm not really satisfied with what the vita has so far and they really haven't shown much for next year either. I'm thinking about selling mine to get a 3ds XL when it goes on sale for $150. Sooo yeah... should i do it?

I did and I got a Red 3ds XL Pokemon edition and I have no regrets doing so... But Sell it only if you are going to like the games on the 3ds...

I would... I mean, Vita is a good system... if you live in Japan... 3DS has an amazing library!

If the games on the Vita don't interest you but the ones on the 3DS do, then go for it. I agree there's not much to look forward to for the Vita next year.

I got to admit - a lot of the nintendo library isn't for me, but the upcoming smash bros and Mario Kart beat every game I already own on the Vita. Does the 3ds XL play Ds games?

Yes it does play DS games and you should trade in that Vita for a 3DS.

3DS is quickly becoming the definitive Nintendo console. Could possibly top the SNES someday. Get on it bro!

As many have said, it comes down to what games you like. I have both and have noticed that I use my Vita a lot more than my 3DS XL but whenever a big game for the 3DS comes out such as Zelda, I completely ignore all my other consoles lol
