Another example of putting way too much stock into gamings broken review system.

I'll be honest, I have no desire to shit on GT6 and I look forward to playing it. I already have it on hold at Redbox...

But this ultimately means Forza 5 will get shit on less. That makes me happy!

How does a last gen game getting reviewed lower than a current gen game help it get "shit on less."  Especially considering they are only 2 points apart...

Fanboy logic at play here. Basically they can't bash Forza 5 for not hitting the tradional 90+ meta when the last 2 entrys of their own IP scored lower the the latest Forza. And while only a few points difference, one is in the 70's and one is in the 80's. Two different quality brackets, even if one is high 70's and the other low 80's.....might as well be a 70 and 89 and would still be considered the same :P

Except that's not what's happening. The logic is that: GT6 is being nitpicked as a last gen PS3 game and Forza 5 gets a free pass despite the lower amount of content because it's on a next gen console.

The 2 point difference thing happened like 10 minutes ago - GT6 was at 75 all morning.

Rly? Because I thought Forza 5 was punished for being a launch game. Its about the quality of what is in the game rather then the quantity of cars/tracks. That is what saved Forza 5 from the 70's IMO but the lacking of quantity prevented the 90. And as for GT, it sounds like its the video game aspects and not the SIM factors that is weighing down the franchise, not the last gen graphics

Without having played either, I think you might be correct. But I don't come up with fanboy logic, I just repeat it.... <_<
That was a joke btw :P

I do agree with you here, we all know where GT's short comings are. As a sim it is amazing, the game wrapped around it needs some aspects overhauled.

I just don't understand why reviews mean so much. If you have been looking forward to this game then you owe it to your self to play it and see for your self. That's a real gamer.

This post warms my heart :') But fanboy wars are too fun.

79% and rising! meh... Ill buy it anyway :)

Came here expecting a criticism of games which reuse so many assets getting marked down this year for the first time (similar to CoD Ghosts) and games riddled with micro transactions which didn't used to be (similar to Forza 5).

Instead, got console wars. Unsurprising.

Micro Transactions started in FM4 with tokens.  DLC tracks and cars first appeared in FM2.

True, actually.  I should've said "hoping for" instead of "expecting.

I don't really consider DLC microtransactions.  Didn't know about FM4, though, fair enough.  Then it's even worse than I thought!
