Factoring in Asia launch in the coming weeks and Christmas worldwide? They're looking at 4 million through the holidays (if they can possibly manufacture that many). Demand is definitely super high. Now we see how good Sony is at pumping these things out

Chistmas isnt even here yet. 3.5-4 million by the end of the year sounds achievable. Damn. I don't even think Japan has recieved their PS4's yet. Thats definitely going to be a million over there easily so five million will be a quick victory for the year.

all Microsoft can do is make a kinect less bundle that will bring costs down to at least ps4 price to have any chance of competing

They really can't, they would have to redesign the whole console.  horrible investment for microsoft, making the console weaker and more expensive then ps3 for kinect 

I expected more in Europe. Sony probably shipped less in EU than in NA for some reason. Still, record breaking launch
