I don't know......Game Informer has always been pretty shit-tastic. And IGN has certainly gone that way after a great start years ago.

The remote control functionaility thing is even more trivial than the TLOU rating.  The guy said something wrong about remote control functionality. Thats hardly the scandal of the decade but ofcourse were just going to latch on to whatever meaningless tidbit we can right?

This is true. But i don't think Nintendo suffers from it in the end, because their games always get reviewed very well.

The gaming media hates Nintendo hardware, they however love Nintendo games (for the most part). This is the reason a lot of them want Nintendo to go down.

That's how I look at it.

op is doing them a favor. i didn't even know this site before all these talks on their crappy reviews. just ignore them. everytime you visit their site, they make money and will be happy to pump out more craps.

like i said once, don't click their site, twitter, facebook,... or comment on anything that comes from these people. just ignore them and they will soon be gone the way of the dodo. as it goes for me this is my last comment on anything polygon related because i'm not contributing to those peoples earnings any longer.

This is exactly the point I was trying to get across in my last post. Sure there a bit biased,but did that stop your enjoyment of the last of us game? Why did that make you angry? gaming sites and people can be biased all they want,but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it and it's not going to stop me from enjoying the types of games I enjoy.

This is exactly the point I was trying to get across in my last post. Sure there a bit biased,but did that stop your enjoyment of the last of us game? Because I read the Verge and SB Nation as well, so was hoping for a good site, then they publish this nonsense.

People won't buy The Last of Us based on this and they really really really really should

I don't dislike them purely because their reviews are negative to Sony, but because their actions seem random and inconsistent

But I have now removed them from my RSS feed and won't be visiting their website

Its like EDGE all over again, except EDGE then had a front cover proclaiming the ps4 as the next gen console to have, so they are ok again now.

Dare to give a few low scores to PS games (ignore the PS games where this site has scored them well) and you are in trouble.


Their reviews are just random

SimCity 9.5. Then adjusted to like a 4 because they couldn't play it (I could). Then it was adjusted back up to like a 6.5 and has been left there. So given that everything has been fixed (and now improved) does that mean their original review was just nonsense?

They then don't really bother updating reviews for most other games with bugs that are then fixed.

They also give tLoU 20% lower than the average, they then repeat a similar thing with Killzone. It's probably not a conspiracy, but you can see it gets people wound up

Then the weird CoD nonsense (apparently Ryse has worse stuttering issues, but I don't really care)

Basically don't read them. I won't be and I won't reccomend that others do
