Forums - Microsoft - I guess CBoat was right: Downgrades on XBone

......The reveal at E3:
after the game came out:
........a closer look at the crowd (credits to Quadrophonic on GAF):
You can clearly see that the polygonal crowd was replaced with 2D-Sprites/Bit maps á la Mortal Kombat/Clay Fighter in the third picture.

The first 2 screenshots show that the Lighting was changed (for the worse).

It is expected, Microsoft was showing the games in E3 using a high end PC

i am a gamer for over the half of my life now. i don't believe any first "gameplay" trailers anymore.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

pretty much this.

on a side not, they still using E3 footage on ads here in Australia on TV.

To be honest when I am racing around a track at 100mph+ I don't really get time to look at the crowds in detail.

the ridiculously high anti aliasing (there was no aliased edge in sight anywhere) alone already was a pretty good hint that the Forza trailer wasn't running in real time on final hardware

cBoat is almost always right. Some didn't like what he was saying though!

Pathetic.

A 2D crowd? What's next? 2D trees?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Please tell me NBA2k14 still runs at 1080p60fps. I ordered it for XBOne since my PS4 is delayed until 2014.
