I think the potential with KZ is there, but GG just cannot make a complete, competent shooter imho. I say that as someone who bought KZ, KZ2, and KZ3. Hell, bought a PS3 just because of KZ2 really. So hand it off to another studio and let them try.

To me so long as the games are profitable then they should continue to make them. I've enjoyed KZ2/3 and am looking forward to KZ:SF, but I don't see why a game needs to either sell Halo numbers or go home.

Personally I'd love to see Guerilla games morph KZ into a Mass Effect type game rather than just a plain shooter, I think the KZ universe has enough potential to pull it off.

I think, for the purposes of this discussion, the assumption is that if GG stopped making Killzone they would be making something else in its place.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

To me, Halo is like that girl that does something cool in the bed with you one time, and you praise her about it.
She gets all excited and start to do a bunch of crazy goofy shit that you don´t like at all, but you do not have the guts to tell her about it.
Soon, being with her is nothing more than a sad charade filled with lies and shallow spetacle.

Now, Guerrilla´s Killzone is the humble girl that comes and impress the shit out of you, but you keep quiet about it, then she deliver the goods every single time, and blow your mind time and time again, getting better with every encounter.
Soon, you are so crazy in love that you cannot wait for the next thing she will create.

Yes, I love Killzone.

this is exactly how I feel. Can't wait on finally playing SF on my own console in about 1/2 weeks!

absolutely not. Killzone is a great series, and a hugely underrated one in my opinion.

some reason Killzone is graded to a different standard than other shooters. its graded to a higher standard and doesnt get a pass or any leaniency that other shooters typically get.

a 73 for killzone is like an 85+ if it were a shooter by name of call of duty, battlefield, or halo (and with the latter it might be a 88+)

I think the story and settings were a wasted opportunity, and that they should try something new.

Killzone's backstory was interesting, but they never took it out from the back to the forefront. Because of that, Killzone just became a generic war game featuring characters you don't care about.

Killzone has always been top tier for me so I would say no. Honestly SP/MP wise Killzone is far superior to Halo and CoD, but that's just this guys opinion.

I loved Killzone 2, it's my favourite fps of all time.

Killzone 3 strayed away from it but it was still pretty great.

Still to play SF but it seems GG made some poor design choices at some places which became even more towards the end. Add that to the fact that they're going further away from what made Killzone 2 critically acclaimed to begin with (spazi nazi's WW2 basically).

Yeah. I'm a fan of the series, as much as it hurts to say but I do think they need to move on. Perhaps not forever but for a long time. (PS5 launch maybe).

Then again maybe KZ SF is amazing to me, I wouldn't know yet. I always enjoyed the shooting which is the core aspect. But the narrative and voice acting/dialogue in general along with the story seems to always be poor even though I was surprised that I liked KZ2s story. KZ3s story was a better experience but still pretty meh.

COD and BF's popularity are slowly stripping away Halo's popularity. Have you noticed that Halo has been losing popularity slowly game by game since the first Modern Warfare came out? COD took their popularity from them but I will forever be a Halo fan. Truth is truth though. Killzone is the kind of shooter that I can appreciate. It plays by its own rules and lives in the shadows. Its like a little gem that only the Sony community can appreciate.

To me Killzone is a multiplayer title and if you are judging it on multiplayer alone, it is really good, so I don't know why Sony would give up one of it's best multiplayer titles.

i think they should make it Vita exclusive, or really shake it up with the next iteration, but i don't think they should give it up completely
