Gran Turismo 3 wishes you well on your future endeavors.

Gran Turismo 2 would be a better comparison to Star Wars Rogue Squadron.

I just realized that Rogue Squadron was the N64 game LOL. Egg on my face. But come on, it was somewhat obvious I was talking about Rogue Leader on the GC. xD

Don't worry, I knew you meant Rogue Leader. I don't get why you think that people wouldn't be convinced of the GC's power by a game that is basically a Best Of of the original Star Wars trilogy's spacefights. And yes, Gran Turismo has cars, but Star Wars is Star Wars. Blowing stuff up with a presentation like that shouldn't leave people unimpressed.

Looking back at the box art, it was probably the awkward name structure that got me lol. I'm not saying it wasn't impressive, I would've been more than satisfied if I was held at gunpoint to buy a GC at launch.  it just isn't very ideal to strictly demonstrate why the GC was more powerful than the PS2 when you consider the PS2's key killer apps around that time were MGS2, GT3, GTA III, FFX etc. It's like comparing Jumping Flash to Virtua Fighter X to explain why the PS1 was more powerful than the 32X, if that makes sense.

Resident Evil 4 is a different story, but by then the damage had already long been done, and we knew the next gen consoles were on their way. In sentiment, this is happening now with the Wii U. That's all I'm trying to explain.

Thanks for explaining, but all of that is really besides the point. It was never a matter of convincing gamers of the hardware capabilities, but developers. This sidetracked discussion spawned from my comment that there are gamers who list the GC's color as a reason for why third parties didn't want to develop for it.

Well I'd like to think you're civil enough to take that logic with a pinch of salt. But I mean just in the general context of key components Nintendo has lacked since the N64 onwards, and that I now wonder if that's gone on too long for Nintendo to redeem sketchy 3rd party relationships with the next system, even if the system itself does deliver absolutely every indsutry standard and more.

You don't need to worry about Nintendo's home console history, it's not really the problem. For a moment, just think about why God Eater 2 isn't coming to the 3DS. Remember, Nintendo handhelds have always been good for third parties.

I'm honestly not sure why God Eater 2 isn't coming to 3DS, it's still a PSP game first and foremost right, a port seems very doable, am I missing something?

But I agree, nobody else a brought a new standard to handheld gaming, not that I think there needs to be either.
