Forums - Sony Discussion - (Sony and Nintendo First Party Games last two years) Has Sony's First Party been disappointing for the past two years?

Just came here to say (I don't have much else to add): You're drawing a big sweeping brush over the phrase "first party". You seem to have included first party + second party + third party games here. Do you perhaps mean "exclusives" instead?

Mainly referring to the inclusion of both Professor Layton & Ace Attorney. I mean, fair enough, outsourced-but-wholly-owned games like Starhawk & Luigi's Mansion I can understand, but what involvement does Nintendo have in PL & AA other than a publishing deal in certain parts of the world?

Fair enough.  You put a lot of thought into this post though I do disagree I'm not going to argue.  This will also be my last thread outside of XBO Nation.  There is no need for me putting up with the stuff I have on this forum when you have users constantly instigating like (Had to edit these users out as it would get me banned), and many others.  I have been pretty respectable when it comes to companies and I have always been honest about what I think. I have not tried converting fans to company A to company B nor have i tried making Console A sound more appealing than console B.  Yes i do indeed blame Sony fans for the majority of the petty arguments and Ive not been shy about that.  I will stand by that as well as I always have.

I will continue to post on VGC as I will be continuing XBO Nation but this site is pretty crap.  No i take that back, forums are pretty crap.  Please cry about who has the better box some more guys.

Mods: Lock it up.

Professor Layton and Ace Attorney aren't first party titles, though...

EDIT: NVM, looks like this was already addressed.

At any rate, quite honestly, I've always thought (with the exception of Infamous) that Sony's IPs have always been disappointing...but that's personal opinion n' such.

I'll take LastofUs over any Nintendo game. Any day.

Thanks.

Okay guys after 12 pages of discussion there is a question I still have...

Who has the bigger dick? Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft?

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

its hard to compare sony and nintendo because the reviews do not use the same criteria.
if a sony game doesnt have an epic story line it gets put down. on most nintendo reviews, the story is barely mentioned.
If sony developers carry too many features over from the previous game, it gets called 'nothing new', but copy and paste and repetitiveness in nintendo games is ok.
despite how awesome ps games look, if they mess up 1 texture or animation, it gets marks deducted, yet when it comes to nintendo, most graphical related criteria are thrown out the window and simplified 'it looks pretty'
even for replay value and multiplayer, much more is expected from PS games than nintendo.

the more features a game has, the more its going to get penalised for, and ps games have more features and depth than nintendo games do.
everyone might as well makes games like angry birds....really hard to go wrong on anything. 10/10 thanks!

I would take a game rated 7 on ps3/4 over a game rated 10 on wii/u

Locking this by request too.
