I think that if it was a big announcement like account system or games, Nintendo would wait for the ND to announce them and give them release dates.
Not that the online infrastructure can be prepared for something - if there`s need for it.

I think all the announcements will come from a ND, not just be available without warning.
I really wish NoA would step up their VC updates.
Japan knows what's releasing a week in advance, Europe a few days, NA the day of.
Makes updating my Wii U VC a pain....

So I did.
Lmao just versused a random person online via pokemon.
His message was "Your All Cowards".
So I fight him.
He uses Darkrai and the very annoying sub/protect/toxic/earthquake Gliscor.
He sets up SR/3 layers of spikes only for them to be Spinned away.
Then sends out Starmie to rid of my own Rocks but swicthes in on an Earthquake, only to be fainted by Sandstorm, lol.
I have a stall war with his Gliscor with my Rotom-W, he finally is tired of it and goes Garchomp.
Spams Outrage, but gets confused and hits himself 3 times in a row (karma) allowing me to set up.
I proceed to sweep, he disconnects when I take down his Darkrai, which was his last pokemon.
LOOK WHO'S THE COWARD NOW BITCH!
We should play Edge (Wii U/3DS).
Compare times/grades for each level.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
