It's not sold to customers, it's shipped. That's what everyone uses.

if your right it means we dont have digital sales cuz they cant be shipped! Over 4 million confirmed yessssss! Pokemon XY doing so well, i got wrried there
I don't know what the argument is about. The data outlined by Iwata is clearly sold to consumers - not shipped to retailers.
Furthermore, shipments in Japan alone have been 2.5 million according to the data outlined by Famitsu (sold 2.1 million in 2 days - 84% sell through rate)
Only 1.5 million shipments for both the Americas and Europe? Funny.

When a publisher announces that a game sold X copies, X means shipped + digital. Are you new here or something?

The irony right? BW had the highest opening but with 15mil sales its the bottom of the main 5 games!!!
I hate seeing VGChartz being so off in the numbers. They were over 25% off if not further as far as the sales go.
It really makes them lose their credibility, many sites quoted VGCHARTZ numbers when announced.

Zelda informer also had it on their facebook page and an article on their site, but it's been removed already.
Makes me sad :(.
