No, it's not.  Basically, it's just new colors.  

No messing with hardware will save this console. Sony could just as well stop wasting money on development of new versions. The hardware is awesome the way it is, the problem doesn't lay within it. They'd be better off spending that money on games, cause this is where Vita is lacking. I bloody hope all the 1st party studios that have been working on PS3 games released this year will be told to work on a Vita game.

Its a new model and its cheaper with built in memory. If this isn't an important week then wen is? (aside from GE2+Vita TV week)!

I was quite sure this would happen, even though I saw many posts here saying otherwise. Seriously, who would run out to buy the new model when the older one is so much better? Build quality and screen quality are worse on the new model, combined with the fact that it has the similar price to the older one...

I hope it dont sell less than 20k this week, or this will be a biiiig failture.
I think Vita TV will do ok and Vita will sell a lot oct-dec. New model this week and a lot of games(best price and new ones) this week, God Eater 2 + bundle late october,Vita TV at the mid of november and Final Fantasy in december.

Why would Sony release a new model the same week Pokemon comes out?
