i disagree with you, not about it being for children, however it is also good for those who don't like the clamshell design.
On Topic:
i am getting it day one or the following monday depending on the mail.
i really like the look of the red and white one, and i really hope they make a 2ds XL in a couple years.

The only thing 3DS XL hardware related i'd get this holiday would be something like this:)
My sister is one of those people that isn't much of a handheld gamer, but loves pokemon. I let her borrow my 3ds until pokemon comes out, so now that pokemon is coming I might make her buy the 2ds and I get the 2ds and she gets the old 3ds. She is one of those people that would buy the cheapest thing anyway and so even if I find the 2ds uncomfortable (comfort is why I want it), she wouldn't mind keeping the 2ds.
