The game grossed $800mil in 24 hours, equating to over 13mil units sold, then 3 days later, GTA5 grossed $1billion, that's gotta be around 15mil - 16mil sold. What's funny is, when Take-Two predicted monstrous numbers of 18mil, everyone shrugged them off, GTA5 was expected to gross $1bil in a month, instead, grossed $1billion in 3 days. It's gonna take COD a long time to beat that, & w/ GTA5 being the "unexpected success", & BF4 on the way, COD might sell lower than 20mil, too many popular games, & next gen consoles set to be released.

call of duty will also sell less because its there EVERY YEAR, EVERY SINGLE YEAR

GTA's progression is absolutely astonishing. Tells how PS3 and 360 have boomed since 2008, really. Beating BO2 by almost 50% is quite a feat too!

Can even Pokemon match that? I'm not sure at all...

Single console vs two.  Youre talking about an install base of 150m+ consoles vs 35m

GTAV will sell more software and Pokemon will sell more Hardware

But yeah everybody on my friends list is playing GTAV.  Great game with great numbers.

I still can't get it how come gaming is so popular in UK and why the gap is huge between UK and Germany/France/Italy. Just makes no sense whatsoever.
