Beyond has a good chance(50%) to be different and genre defining as Cage does not really cares about certai
gaming standards.

The last guardian: it'll be 100% revolutionary to see this game finaly being released.

I don't think everything not revolutionary is bad and everything revolutionary is good



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

I have no idea, but I don't think it's among any currently announced games.

Probably something indie which makes a Minecraft-esque splash. I think the days are truly numbered (or are we already well past this stage?) of an actual publisher taking a "revolutionary game" leap.

No. Titanfill is too reminiscent to Call of Duty gameplay wise, it's just with mechs. Gameplay wise it's not revolutionary at all.

I would've put Wii Sports and Tetris but I forgot all about them. 

I think we're stalling (if we ignore things like Angry Birds or Minecraft). Was there a revolutionary game on the PS360? (maybe Gears due to the working 3rd person shooting mechanic, but even so - not groundbreaking enough).

Titanfall of course.
Project Spark potentially.
High hopes for The Order as well, though need to see some gameplay. But I really hope we see a bigger emphasis on story based shooters with a little more open ended gameplay this upcoming gen.

No, not what blizzard develops next. They are hardly a revolutionary company. They just refine already established formulas and stick to them. I mean cmon... Diablo 3, Starcraft 2? What about those is revolutionary?

As for destiny... probably not aswell. There are already persistant MMOFPS games on the PC.

 

The thing about the next revolutionary game is that its something no one really knows yet.

Actually there is one that rings a bell. Star Citizen, if it turns out like the producer envisions, it might be that game.


Nah, I got that wrong. Not next "game", but next MMO. Im talking whatever TITAN will be.

Next IP.

It doesnt have to be something brand new and never before seen to be revolutionary. Case in point, Call of Duty 4.

Revolutionary games.. and no mention of Doom, Quake, GTA III or MGS1? o.O

OT: I don't think any announced games will be. Most look like just an evolution of what's on currently available, or inspired by other games/creators and not really genre defining. My guess though, it is that whatever Rockstar is working on next is going to be something truly special. If you look at what they'd achieved with GTA V on current gen, imagine what they can do with consoles multiple times more power and capability. Also, whatever Naughty Dog is working on.
