windwaker was the worst of the zelda games. its no surprise.

Yeah but GTA5 is the worst GTA ever, so why's that selling so well?

(See how that works?) -_-'

Looks like it works fine to me.

Looking forward to those WW numbers to see how much it is "liked"

This is one of the saddest things I've seen in gaming.

It would be sad if this was the first release.......its a HD remake of a 10 eyar old game.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

It's a nice looking remake for sure, but I'm used to buying HD remakes on the PS3 for £30 and they normally come with 3 games so I can't really justify £45 for a single game. I think Nintendo may have priced themselves out of the market a bit here.

Edit: Just to put it in perspective, the Metal Gear Solid Legacy collection that was just released comes with:

3 HD remastered games

3 older games + the expansion for Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear sold 4

2 Digital novel and a physical artbook

That's 7 games + extra's including an actual artbook.

And it still cheaper than the Wind Waker HD in the Uk. (it's £37 on amazon vs £45 for WW).

nitendo is charging 50$ for a 10 year old port in hd.

THAT IS SAD

I was illustrating a point, using a random example, but your intention was clear to everyone here, so don't worry.

Any game being 'best', 'worst' or anything in between is purely personal opinion. Just because you think WW is 'the worst' Zelda ever, doesn't mean everybody thinks so, nor that it is a fact. Same how someone can say GTA5 is rubbish, though others may hail it as Christ's second coming. Also, way to go, comparing a re-release on a console with a 3 million installed base to basically the most-anticipated game of the gen, releasing to an installed base of approx. 160 million or so *applauds*.

Also comparing a game with probably a million dollar budget to one with 300 million dollar budget

Why is this sad? What has Ryse - which looks impressive, but I don't like these kind of games - to do with Wind Waker? Pre-order numbers for Wind Waker don't matter, the fact that we'll get the HD remake is all that matters.

BTW: I think that Wind Waker HD will sell at least 1 million copies worldwide in the long run.

Perhaps he thinks it is sad, because an unknown number of people are going to by the digital version of Ryse.  Which they do not need to pre-order.  So a whole additional chunk of Ryse game sales.

If it's good  and people buy it, I could see it being like another Assassin's Creed historical-ish game that is also popular.  And gets a new version every few years. You could do one about the Greek, the Persians, etc.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Wind Waker not only has a hardware bundle, it's releasing digitally two weeks early. I'd bet WW has a larger ratio of "hidden" digital/bundled sales than Ryse will have.

Seriously?  With the advantages of staying All Digital on the Xbox One, and the limited story capacity on the WiiU?

Are they going to make  big digital price reduction?  Otherwise, no advantage to going digital on the WiiU, plus giving up precious memory.

We will see.

Yes, seriously. The advantage of going digital on Wii U is that you can have the game two weeks earlier. And I haven't heard anything about a Ryse bundle.

The "limited storage capacity" doesn't mean much with regards to Wind Waker. It's under 2 gigs. The 32-gig Wii U model was way more popular than the 8-gig model (though even that has enough space to download the game). The 8-gig model is also being phased out before Wind Waker's physical release, so most Wii U owners and all new Wii U buyers will have enough space built into their system to download the game 10 times over.
