logic and hardware sales across the generations disagrees. it was only recently that this specs obsession got strong but most people still couldn't care less about what's inside the machine. how many people do you think that look at a video game and says: "I want that thing because it does over9000 gigaflops and controls missiles"... instead of: "I want that thing because it has those awesome x,y,z games that I love".?

people consider both when making a purchase. I dont know why are you arguing so much about this. powerfull hardware is a contributing aspect when considering a purchase. I never said it was the biggest or most important one, but for lots of people, it is. It was pretty much Xbox's main selling point (together with Xbox Live)

So the difference between Wii U and Xbox One and Playstation 4 is like that between Playstation 1 and Playstation 2. That's still a pretty big difference.
