Hey, as some of you may not be aware, Gamefaqs is having their yearly Character Battle contest where users vote for their favorite characters in a tournament and all that fun stuffs.

Usually the tournament is relatively legit, but this time around Reddit users started a rally for a LoL character name Draven to, "Troll GameFAQS for the lulz".

Draven started off with several thousand more votes than Link and Sheppard int he early AM hours, but Link powered back during the day when most of the votes occur. 

Just as Link was making his strongest push, the site was hit with a DDoS attack and was down for 90 minutes, now that it is back up, Reddit picked up their rally and started vote stuffing the ensur Draven wins.

This is just another example of how Reddit and 4Chan are a plaque on the internet.

That's no longer funny or original. In fact, at this point, it's just kind of sad.

Well, Vivi is a better character than Mario in every way possible, so that's okay.

Turns out, LoL servers are crashing a lot and some Reddit users are claiming it was an attack so more LoL players would visit the forum to see what was going on, and would see the rally topic to further flood GameFaqs.

Exactly.

I actually used to like those contests back in the day. Basically, this is just some jackasses on the internet ruining shit for the rest of us. What can you do.

Oh. I was wondering who the hell Draven was and why he kept winning.
