When I saw that on IGN, even though I love Nintendo games and will pick up a WiiU next year, I figuratively cracked up

You are my favorite person on the internet for today because you used the term figuratively in the correct context instead of using the word literally in an incorrect context. (I'm completely serious about that, the incorrect use of literally is a pet peeve of mine)
On Topic:
Last year when the Wii U launched I looked at the launch lineup and it was quite impressive IF you disregard that many of the games were late ports that were available on other systems. There were a few exclusives but mainly second stringers (one example: NSMBU, a 2D Mario Platformer, while it has the capability of big sales isn't as big for the core market) or new ips/games (ie. NintendoLand)
Now I look at the XB1 and PS4 launch lineups and I see a very similar situation. Many of the games coming at launch or in the launch windows of both consoles will be available on other systems earlier (WatchDogs, Battlefield, COD, FIFA, etc.) and the exclusive content is either from the respective company's more second string IPs (no GT, Uncharted, Halo, Gears, etc.) or new IPs/games that could be big but are unproved.
Wii U has been in one of the worst software droughts for a major console I've seen in quite a while and is just now starting to get a good lineup coming out, that's good but there's no need to downplay the relatively good launch lineups of the competitors.
I'm not trying to defend Reggie, this is an obvious troll and I'd like him to be a little less arrogant but I will be purchasing somewhere between 4 and 6 new games on Nintendo systems in the next 3 months or so (and probably a 3DSXL bundle) so maybe $400-500 while I plan to spend maybe $50-100 on my PS3 if that and have no plans to buy any hardware from them for a few years yet.
