Basic haptic feedback, throug vibration and clicks, can be turned on in most smartphones and tablets, although "blind" usage is still not possible, unless they devise a smart gesture convention for the touch commands instead of tapping. Its worst flaw is the touchscreen too little to emulate a universal remote. A cheap tablet, would be much better. About the XBOne system, I can't judge it until I see how it works if one doesn't want to use voice commands. In this case I suspect it requires the same number of steps as any other universal remote with the same number of physical buttons available, so it will surely have one-click commands for the most used functions of the main devices and multiple-step procedures for least common functions and least used devices. And obviously, one-click commands will be faster than voice controls.
They should make it so you say 'Xbox, volume' then use your hand up or down to adjust the level. Or smart glass.
What's really cool is that it takes less than 1/2 a second in order to go from UI or anything else you were doing to a game with Xbox One.
Just say "Xbox play game" or "Xbox play {game name}".
No waiting to play at all.

All I need is a TV and a console, and I prefer to push a button rather than raise the voice when the neighbour is angry at the sound of my TV. And again, comforting people in their laziness is a bad thing. |
You sound like a really active person.
And you're right. Pushing a button is way better exercise than speaking. I bet your thumbs are are jacked!
