Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Will Nintendo show anything new for Wii U at Gamescom?

Usually about the August/September time frame, they start using updated demos. Depends on the game, though. 2014 games will be using E3 demos, probably.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

I honestly don't know that they need to. They have plenty coming out over the next few months and Nintendo doesn't often show stuff that's far away from release.

Something E-Shop related perhaps? We still have yet to hear details about what is in the Summer/Autumn system update. Gamecube game on the virtual console would be pretty awesome but I'm not counting on it.

i want those unannounced 2014 games dammit

I doubt they'll show anything new. Why should they anyway? They have announced enough 1st/2nd party games imo.

Nah, probably mainly the two Zelda games, Mario 3D World, DKC, and Pokemon XY. Maybe some WiiU Fit & Party thrown in for good measure.

They said they we're working on new IP's so there's hope, any kind of new franchise from NIintendo would be welcome at this point.

It's just a personal opinion, but i've kind of grown tired of yet again a mario kart, SSB, Donkey Kong etc. title. For me it's at a point of ''same old same old''. I know it's still good business and alot of people enjoy them, but with all the creativity Nintendo is know for, i would really like them to focus more on creating  totally new experiences, worlds and franchises.

Again it's just my opinion, and i'm not just trying to bash on Nintendo here. I have the same feeling with Halo or Uncharted. And although that last one definitely hasn't gotten old yet, Naughty Dog is the perfect example of why it is important to let things rest and focus on something new on a regular basis. They have done this every generation so far and everytime they have created incredible franchises.
