I had to ask this question because gaming has been growing from the 80's through the 2000's. Which first party have you played the most first party IP's from over the years and which third party have you played the most IP's from? Please list the third or first party runner up (you only get to choose one). Also, please list the IP (meaning by franchise or stand alone title, not specific games within a franchise.)

Reminder: This is NOT about your favorite company, just the companies you just so happen to have played the most IP's from and list the IP's of the first party off the top of your head. Look up the known franchises that the companies you think you've played the most games from and list them. You might be surprised what you'll find.

 First party:

Sony: I thought I played a lot of EA games since I was a child but I recently found out I played more SCE (Sony Computer Entertainment) titles than any other company.

Third party:

Square Enix: Bushido Blade, Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana, Fighting Force, Breath of Fire, Front Mission, Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Kingdom Hearts, Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause, Kane & Lynch, Legacy of Kain and Hitman.

Runner up:

Nintendo. I grew up on their games but my Sony IP's over time outnumbered theirs.

First Party - Nintendo
Third Party - That's an absolute clusterfuck, I have absolutely no idea.

First party-Sony no doubt. I love Nintendo first party too but I just get far less games from them each gen (DKC, Smash, Mario Galaxy, and Zelda this gen)

My PS3 collection is probably over 80% first party games other than the PS+ titles I've gotten.

I'm too tired to list any games so I took a pic of everything currently on my floor:

I was surprised that I played more Square IP's than EA IP's.

Some of those aren't Nintendo game IP's, consoles don't count either. Its safe to say Nintendo you've got a lot of Nintendo there though. Heh

I don't know for either, but a quick whip round lends me to 27 Sony IPs, and 18 Nintendo IPs (if we count Mario, Mario Kart etc. as different IPs). In terms of game count, probably it's closer but I still believe Sony would win out.

As for 3rd party, I think it's Capcom, Square-Enox or Namco. Definitively one of those three.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

1st Party - Sony but not much since I grew up with Nintendo this kind of only happened recently.
3rd Party - Square Enix with Sega not far behind. I was just into Square Soft games during the PS1 & PS2 days.

First-party: Nintendo. It isn't even a competition. There are few IP's i have missed and that is because they were never released in Europe. Fom Sony i have played Infamous, Uncharted, Gran Tourismo, Wipeout, God of War, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. From MS i've played HALO.

Third-party: Capcom

Probably Nintendo. More than a decade of mainly playing first party on Nintendo consoles/handhelds. Maybe EA comes second I'm not so sure about that one.
