It only says ps4, i'm thinking ps4 only in japan, and x1/ps4 for the west.

Because every gen devs try to fool us! Why did they show us the tech-demo when the game doesn't even come close to it? So I don't believe that Square showed us real graphics on the PS4-reveal, too. I don't know the name of it anymore, sadly (I think it was something with agony).

Of course it was real. Just not running on PS4. Same with FF

So they lied to us. Well, I am not surprised but still somehow disappointed.

They wouldn't be the first company to do it.

As I said, business as usual. But I think it's not ok for people who actually believed we saw actual PS4-footage. To me it was clear from the beginning and the only mistake I made back then was to post it which immediately was argued and fought back.

Nonetheless I think the game will look better than current-gen games so it will be next-gen. What we will get in the end will be interesting.

Really, everyone is going to try judging the graphics on that!? You can only see something that resembles a game for literally 3 or 4 seconds. Can't we save judgment for when we see maybe a full 5 seconds of gameplay?

No. Anyone who believes the actual graphics will look like what we say in february is wrong. Same with Square's demo. This all would've been less worse if they had told us it's running on PC and they expect such graphics perhaps in 3-4 years. At the reveal it was said it's running on PS4-hardware so many had high (and most probably unrealistic) expectations.

To me it doesn't matter that much. I only want better graphics than this gen and both systems will easily be able to accomplish this.

I agree, but I don't think there's really anything here to judge yet.  Most of that video was just logos.  To say they're wrong for believing it'll look like it did in february is wrong.  We don't yet know what these games will end up looking like.  Maybe they'll be way way worse, or maybe it'll be the same in most areas.  I just think we should wait till we see more.  I guess that is too much to ask.

Still, we have blame Capcom. Why do they even release this trailer? Or maybe we better ask why did show us both trailers. The tech-demos at the reveal showed graphics which are way ahead of what we saw with gameplay-vids on e3.

But anyway, we will see at the end of the year what graphics we can expect with next-gen. I am at least happy that even launch-games are not possible on current-gen-hardware.

Who cares what other people think? Let them believe what they want. As others have already said, there's nothing here to realistically judge, but to go around policing everyone for their beliefs won't stop anyone from what they think.

So we can quit discussing on VGC? :) That's what we are doing - talking about games-related stuff. But I already said we will see what next-gen will give us at the end of the year. Still looking forward for every game and technical analysis of every game (and yes, this also includes DF).

Nope, we can discuss it all day, but when you say "it's not OK" for someone to think something, my response is: "oh well". That is why you finding an issue, which seems to happen mainly in PlayStation-related topics (with all due respect), with this here is largely your own.

On the other hand, watching each and every analysis will be fun, agreed. We'll see where things go. Me, personally, I never thought that was real footage of the game back in Feb, even if they told me it was running on PC. It just looked too good!

Just to add this at a last comment: I would also bitch about it if it would've happened for any other system. And I will do if it happens. But it only happened in february so far. And of course, anybody can think what he wants and this is ok. What is not ok is to get fooled by devs/companies making people expect what they might never get. I know this is nothing new and quite common but this doesn't mean we should let this just go.

Also, this is not a PS4-problem but a problem of Capcom as I already said.

At least we agree that it just looked too good, just like the Square-tech-demo. The only thing that impressed me in february was Killzone which seems can keep its high level!

It could be good. If it's a mmo, then I'll pass. I'm not really into mmo's. There just way to long and your forced to work with people. This lone wolf doesn't work with people. hahaha.

Walsufnir is right, some screens look like PS2 graphics and on the whole it looks current gen.

But I don't dismiss a game based on graphics. Like others I'm more worried about the online part. I am hoping for a variation of a loosely connected co-op á la Dark Souls with the same hardcore gameplay depth and difficulty, but that's probably too much to hope for.

Dragon's Dogma, a masterpiece and GOTY 2012, was also made by Capcom though so I am hopeful.
