Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox Empire - New thread up soon!

And the large majority of times xbox live has been down has been due to ddos attacks, something which neither sony nor Microsoft can really prevent.
And today's xbox live downtime has been just claimed by a hacker group, possibly indicating ddos. Blame the no-life groupies who do this sort of stupid stuff to psn/xbox live.

no sure if already posted but, xbox one official price cut to 299.99 in uk.

Kind of sad in a way,  on US amazon they were outsold by the PS4...Then they dropped the price to 350$ and it is still getting outsold...

When MS will know that consumers want games?  Literally a PS4 with bloodborne cost 450$ and it outselss the Xone with MCC that is priced at 350$...

They should have started this gen with two different Xbox ones like last gen with Xbox 360 Core/Premium.

Sales this gen have nothing to do with games.

If people wanted games sales this gen would look like this:

WiiU > Xone > PS4

Not the other way around.

I dont understand the obsession with we need a price drop now !!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets face it that the xbox one cant beat the ps 4 this gen. The train for this is long gone. Important is to stay ahead of xbox 360 to consider the xbox one as a success. Better luck next time.

It's not about outselling PS4 anymore, that's not really possible, it's about closing the gap enough that PS4 stops getting 3rd party exclusives by default. PS4's game library already has about 120 more games than Xbox One's library, because it has a huge sales lead. MS has got to cut that lead down some or else the game library will continue to suffer. Especially on the indie front, XB1 has missed out on alot of good indies already because PS4 has a huge lead.

Game library will only suffer when the xbox dont get games like far cry, fifa , battlefield and co. Indies that likes money will not ignore the one because this console have a base of 12 Mio +  still counting potential buyers. Thats why we see games like oddworld, velocity, olliolli and outlast are still coming to xbox after a ps 4 release. The only thing that suffer is no niche japan games and c - games for one but i dont care about this.

Did anyone read the interesting article that popped out of nowhere in vgchartz about 360's strategy of securing JRPGs?

XB1 has failed to get alot of indies I care about, and the developers of most of those games have listed the PS4's sales lead as the reason why they went with PS4 instead of Xbox One. Some of those games are only timed exclusives, but not all of them, sometimes the developer wants to put their development resources towards their next game instead of towards porting their previous game to other platforms after release.

PS4 has even managed to get some AA exclusives by default (without having to moneyhat them), by virtue of their sales lead. And I'm talking about western games, not including the plethora of Japanese games that are skipping XB1. The situation will only get worse if the PS4's marketshare continues to grow, MS has got to stop those gains or else gamers like me will suffer.

I don't think any significant Indie game has skipped Xbox One yet, unless a wild hat full of money popped up.

Even though having a worldwide lead is great, US and UK are the biggest market still for DLCs and after release support. Ain't no business concious Western dev gonna ski X1.

Japanese devs don't care about marketshare at all. They made bunch of US release exclusive to PS3 last gen even though 360 has almost double the marketshare in here.

And the Tic Podcast guys said that MS has bunch of Japanese games being localized on X1 as we sepeak, including a MMORPG.
