Forums - Microsoft - Major Nelson confirms. Xbox One preorders trending ahead of 360 pre-orders.

Awesome. Glad I picked mine up early.

Very curious how many were released for pre-order.

Well now, props to the non-forum gamer. There is hope yet.....in NA at least. Im just happy now to be on the winning team in my home continent.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Wasnt this really bound to happen?

Cool to have confirmation I guess.

Like every other product released in this gen... preorders in 2005/2006 was not like it is today.

Hmm, with Ubisoft saying "Double PS4/XOne Pre-orders to PS3/360" Im really curious on numbers!

I'd say so yes.

But quite a lot here expected it to be almost DOA.

20m lifetime and all that crap.

Links to those predictions?

Ive always thought the general consensus was that it would have a great start, at least in America and the UK, but not sell nearly as well as the 360 worldwide lifetime?

much easier to pre-order in 2013 compared to back in 2005, but still good news

both consoles will succeed, X1 will win NA and PS4 will win Europe/Japan

Please explain how "preorder technology" was inferior in the old days

That was prior to the backflip thus null and void

I think we all  already know that we shouldnt take polls on VGChartz seriously. Though its notable that the majority are going with a very reasonable 40 Million plus.
