We'll give up if games and a price drop have no effect. Basically 2014 will be pretty telling.

meltdowns seem to be impossible (imo) when we are only going to get solid numbers for 1 system and a series of wild guesses on the rest..

PS3 winning a month would mean the PS3 won the month. If you don't care for whatever reason then you probably shouldn't be in these threads.

Sometimes it's fun watching the disbelief at how well the 3DS is doing. Usually it's obnoxious scrolling through all the Wii U hate... like the latest Famitsu thread. 360 and PS3 are fairly predictable at this point. |
Well there is certainly disbelief, but I'm not sure it's coming from the people you think it is. We're talking about a system that is down YoY, with several months pretty near 100k. The PSP was 24.2% higher in 2007, 46.4% higher in 2008, and the 3DS only beat the 2009 numbers by 3.5%. The DS of course was in a completely different league. 2009 in particular saw sales more than four times higher than 3DS sales in 2013. 07/08/10/11 were all more than double.
How many months has the 360 won in the US in a row now?
Would be interesting to see if the PS3 tops it with The Last of Us.
It's just that simple.

How is the PSV doing compared to the PSP? |
Terrible. Not sure how that is relevant though. I don't think there are any claims of disbelief at how well the PSV is doing.

How terrible? It doesn't need to be relevant to your response to the_dengle. You seem to have all the NPD numbers at hand and I am interested in how badly the Vita is doing. |
141k this year.
14.5% of what the PSP sold in 2007
12.3% in 2008
18.6% in 2009
Or in opposite terms
PSP 2007 = 6.9x Vita
PSP 2008 = 8.1x
PSP 2009 = 5.4x
I'm inclined to agree with Kowen. I tried to stay awake for the last NPD thread and it just wasn't that eventful. We got a few PR releases early on and then had to wait for Creamsugar who came along with a load of information I wasn't that interested in. Not sure I'll stay up too late for this month's and just get the highlights in the morning.
