Halo could become even bigger with Steven Spielberg doing a TV series.
It is one of the very rare franchises that really offers something fans can't wait for. I want to see the sequel to Halo 4, because I want to know how the story continues and what is next for Masterchief.

The games you mentioned can't deliver on that front... Story driven games are very rare these days. Metal Gear, Halo, Quantum Break and maybe a handful of others. Besides those games there are not that much Next gen games that are story driven. I am not saying they have to be though.
Titanfall, Mario, Zelda etc. will work without a deep storyline. Halo is just one of the VERY rare games that has it all. Singleplayer, Multiplayer, great sound, great visuals, great story, map-editor etc.

It is one of a kind.

I am actually looking forward to CoD Ghosts, because they made it pretty clear that this is the way they want to go.

well halo 5 is the only reason why i want a xbo. it is what made me fall in love with the first xbox to begin with, i am not quitting the series now, halo 4 was great, and i cant wait to see where it goes next. it was so nice not fighting flood this time around, though those forerunner bastards are a bitch sometimes.

???? never read a book and I never had any issue following the game story line ???? it might be a complex story for a FPS but it stays an FPS you don't need a degree in litterature to follow Halo....


@OP I love halo, cause it's just pure epic (I can't stand any COD FPS or the likes of "real life" military FPS) so yeah they could the most realistic war simulation FPS I would still prefer an Halo game with epic events, fun plot twist, great vehicle and weapon ideas.... etc
I'd love an Halo war 2 too heck even one with a great kinect support it would be the perfect kind of game to use it....

now me I ask the same question with Final fantasy, when will SE renew their RPG style to the core and revolusionize it once again.... yeah they make nice once but nothing has been wowing me for a long long while now....

since the creators of the series are gone, the quality will decline and the magic will wear off. just like what happened to call of duty
