#1 of 2013?

 

As of now, one of the following games will likely be the Top seller of 2013. Which will it be? (One system to keep it fair)

 

  • The Last Of Us
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf
  • Grand Theft Auto 5
  • Pokemon X / Y
  • Call Of Duty: Ghosts
  • Gran Turismo 6

 

Things to consider: TLOU is a new IP on a system being replaced soon. AC was released in its biggest market last year so sales will be divided. Grand Theft Auto isn't as big as it used to be and 4 was outsold by other games in its year. Pokemon will be released to a smaller userbase when compared to some of the other big games. Ghosts will be separated into 4 different systems instead of only 2. This might hurt the sales of the XB 360 version a bit. Gran Turismo normally has longevity rather than being front-loaded.

My vote goes to Pokemon with COD being a close 2nd and GTA being a distant 3rd. Pokemon X / Y will likely have a ton of hype and will be the 1st game released WW at the same time. It will also be released close to the Holidays and have a head-start against Ghosts. Ghosts will also get some sales fom the other versions such as the XB1.

im going to say pokemon and for multiplat i say COD cuz their fanbase. I knoGTA5 will be close though

Yeah, Pokemon doesn't stand a chance for overall best seller because it's exclusive against huge games that will be on at least 2. I think Pokemon can outsell the 360 versions of both COD & GTA though. It should be close.

this thread makes no sense, half the games are multiplat and the other half are console exclusive, why are no next gen games listed?

How does it not make sense? The question asks which game you think will be the top seller of 2013. To keep it fair, I limited multipats to their top selling system. So if GTA5 sells 3 Million on XB360 & 2.5 Million on PS3, only the 3 Million would count. No next-gen game will sell enough to warrant being in the poll.

WTH? you actually think a next gen title will sell over 10mil? GTA5/COD/Pokemon will all sell over that, nothing that WiiU/PS4/X1 will sell over 5mil this year
