Of course no one has numbers.  But, we do have the PS4 at #3, with 3 other SKUs in the Top 100 for the year (one of which is still available, so will continue moving up the list), while the Xbox One is at #6 with one SKU.  So, the PS4 is outselling it there.  The Xbox One has very limited supply, but hasn't sold out at Gamestop.  The PS4, a month ago, had "unlimited supply," yet has sold out at Gamestop. 

Also, MS's "Marketing Machine" doesn't have a perfect track record.  Zune, Vista, 8, Bing, and Windows Phone.  MS put big bucks behind those products, but they didn't catch on.  Bottom line, if people don't want a product, no amount of money MS throws into marketing is going to make them want it.

OT: EB games NZ rung me yesterday and said I had to put more money on my pre order for my Ps4 otherwise I would they said they couldnt secure me a console, When I went in to put more money down they said this is the only shipment they are getting this year and you wont be able to buy anymore until next year!! they Also said xbone is pre ordering well but not yet sold out.

XBox One is sold out at best buy and PS4 is not. This thread is completely wrong. However just as you come to find out, there is no way to prove either way. So whats the point of the thread?

@dj evolve: No you're totally right the X1 is outselling the ps4 everywhere currently... it has all the top spots on all the charts. Even though ps4 is #3 and x1 is #6 in NA its only because it was the third to sell out this year obviously the x1 has 5 million pre-orders already across the world! Come November no one will remember PS(what?) because the X1 has done a better job of viral marketing their product and is outselling world wide. I mean sure the second week after e3 the given numbers indicated the PS4 outselling the X1 by more than 2:1, but that was before the removal of the DRM and everyone knows about that. I mean who doesn't know/remember something that was only revealed to small number of concerned consumers? I'm sure everyone by now knows that the X1 is DRM free (just like PS3/4) and is now the more capable device for gaming. Which is why they are outselling the ps4 world wide especially in US/UK.

On a more serious note, I think it's safe to say that the PS4 will outsell the Xbox One at launch. Just because of the fact that Sony can produce more consoles right now. But Wii U will outsell both anyway. ;D

WOW , really smart peps. I made the comments because thats the whole point of the thread. you can't prove nothing I said or him. So there is a whole bunch of hand slapping going on with no proof. PS4 may blow the doors off XBone or the other way around. I was making a point about the thread.

I fully expect the X1:PS4 to be a lot closer to 1:1 in the US in about 6mo to 1yr after release of both consoles.

Initial sales might only reveal who has most stock, and at this point it does look like Sony has the most. However, after initial production I don't think that it will make a difference in sales and then we can truly see what is/will be in terms of sales.

HX gamers didn't flock to Wii U because it came a year early and had lack of third party games. I think most core gamers / early adopters were waiting for the reveal of next gen consoles. If the Wii U had more 3rd party support I wouldn't doubt it being able to stay profitable / relevant as a console. Now that all new consoles have been revealed I expect a huge spike in Wii U sales this holiday season, and record sales for the gaming industry in general.
