Not even close (to me, God of War III is UNDERrated). Ascension is good, the combat is refined, but there are some steps back that it took. Of course it couldn't have the strengths of III's concluding tale, but it could have been a little better, I felt.

We have very opossing opinions on the matter. I think God of War 3 is only of the most over-rated games ever. It was just so excessively violent, and I felt the plot was a bit funny compared to the first 2. I think Bayonetta is a better hack and Slash game, Devil May Cry 3 as well (not sure about the new ones).

I don't find Bayonetta or Devil May Cry to feel all that comparable to God of War. Since they're, also, very off-topic and likely to cause an issue, no need to go into it.

Well it's just opinion, a lot of people do love the game, I'm just part of the group that think it's overhyped. I think people like GoW3 mainly because it's over the top violent (there are scenes where Kratos rips off the head of a human....). GoW 1 & 2, and the PSP games are nothing like this, and I like them much better. I haven't played GoWA yet, so no comment on that.

Also I think Bayonetta and DMC are very comparable to Gow. Vanquish and MGR aren't, that's why I didn't mention them, and I think these are worlds better then any other Hack and Slash game.

However I know you'll disagree, I think I've seen you making posts before about how you feel MGR is a disappointment because it's not MGS. Strangly enough I love it for that reason lol.
