The wii u is a huge leap up from the wii, but obviously pales in comparison to the x1/ps4 by any stretch of the imagination spec wise. Still if we just look at the wii to wii u transition, it is a pretty good step. The wii u is more powerful then the ps3/360 too so it isn't all bad. It is also the cheapest console of the next gen devices. The gamepad could also give more experiences to the usage of it. As for the lack of games, nin has never really had good 3rd party support and this is there first foray into hd gaming. So we can't really blame them entirely on this matter. Ya, they are late to the party though and could've done better. Sales wise, you shouldn't expect wii level sales. That was a lightning in the bottle situation. The wii u could do as much as n64 or gamecube which made profit for Nintendo. Oh, almost forgot, there marketing department is shit. They really need to advertise the wii u more effectively. At the end of the day Nintendo consoles are in there little bubble known as Nintendo land where people go to play there exclusives. Thats what people who want there fix of nin franchises goes too. So shouldn't it be judged by it's own merits rather then to the other two consoles. Wow, writing this makes me feel slightly bad abut the wi u in general xD So, what do you think? Are people just expecting too much from the wii u? Did Nintendo just disappoint people in general? Do you disagree with my points and think I'm fucking crazy?

No. Sales are horrible. If we are not hard on it, then who will be?

not really>>> people still be hard on it [looks at 3ds]

Well, it is justified, but complaining about it definitely won't help increase sales.

It's not the Wii U, its the company itself. There too stubborning to evolve their content and business practice.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

The thing is, I have lost a lot of hope on it. No matter the amount of third parties released for the system from now on, I would get every third parties game on ps4. The only game that could make me decide to buy a Wii U eventually is Mario kart but I am no expecting a turn around for the system, but still expecting the console to be profitable.

The system itself is great and people should give it a break. Nintendo should be blamed for not supporting it though. Same would happen with xbox and ps4 if they are released and no games are released for seven or eight months. Nintendo should have been even more carefull with this though because they dont have the third party support like the other guys

Ya,atleast if you get the wii u down the line, the price would've dropped. For me personally, it isn't worth the asking price for those few Nintendo exclusives that I play.

Agreed

Nintendo Wii by generations...

1. Wii

2. Wii U

3. Wii O U

Predictions made by gamers concerning the current Nintendo line up of games.

Pikmen 3= Little Bump to nothing. (Got Little Bump)

Wind Waker HD= Won't sell anything (The explosion happened here and at one time 4 Wii U games was in the Amazon top 100)

Super Mario 3D World= Won't help at all looks cheap. (Currently the most sought after Wii U game and continuing the Wii U increase.)

@BloodyRain

Exactly, if people aren't sure about the future of the console, make more sense to buy the console down the line when the price is right.
