Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The possibilites of some Nintendo franchises on the Wii U

I thought F-Zero GX's difficulty was perfect. X was too easy, the hardest race should be something challenging which most people can't accomplish.

Also I hear that Platinum Games wants to make Star Fox 2. It would be nice if they made a Wii U graphics level remake of Starfox 2, and include the unreleased SNES game on the same disk.

As for Metroid, I wouldn't complain about the wait. Metroid Prime released what 8/9 years after Super Metroid? Look how awesome that was! The more we wait, the more time people have to make ideas for Metroid.

---you missed one----

Fire Emblem - I hope not, this game is a lot better on handhelds, but there is that crossover coming out on Wii U

I'm hoping Nintendo published one more high end JRPG on the Wii U. Wii had XenoBlade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Fire Emblem, and a half baked Tales of game. Gamecube had Baten Kaitos. I want to see something new, other then X and FE x SMT release on Wii U. Maybe a console version of FFXV.

The crossover is gonna be perfect. Atlus working on it is a great sign.

Most the games you listed are niche Nintendo games and will sell like 1-2million.

For example unless star fox evolves it will be lucky to sell one million. Most the star fox gamers moved onto other consoles years ago and one game won't bring them back if its a HD rehashed N64 game.

Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, DK, Smash Bros, Mario Kart are not niche. 7 out of 10.

See I would say the following are:

Metroid (aint no halo level)

DK (just appeals to some Nintendo fans)

Pokemon (nichie for console, I personally dont knwo anyone who bought the ones that did come out on consoles)

6 million? That is  " Some Nintendo fans"?  So, now, Metroid needs to sell 8 million every time to not be niche? You are sounding like Square Enix right now. Tomb Raider didn't sell 8 million so it is not profitable!  Facts are facts. Stadium sold 5.5 million and a Pokemon MMO can easily top that.

Metroid. Cause it isn't Halo doesn't mean it can't be impressive and amazing (Retro's next game for sure, they kinda confirmed it already)

And DK, explain the nearly 6 million sales for DKCR and the good sales for the port on the 3DS?

Metroid: I want Nintendo to play the death out of the new Tomb Raider. Go and do likewise...minus the tacked on multiplayer.

Other than that, I really think Nintendo is doing a decent job with their internal franchises. Zelda just keeps getting better, they offer a lot of fun local multiplayer games.

I just wish Nintendo would make or buy some new IP. I can't help but feel I've outgrown most of their titles. I'd love to make some recommendations, but that's kind of off-topic.

Man I would so kill for a 3D Kirby! I've been hoping for this since Kirby AirRide where you could jump off your vehicle and run around.

Why not mention Wave Race?!?! Way better game than F-Zero and sold more copies as well. Only reason people mention F-Zero over Wave Race these days is because it came first.

Wave  Race would also be nice don't get me wrong. I wanted to focus on 10 franchises.

No. No Pokemon.

A 3D Donkey Kong really does sound like a great idea, though. I was just thinking about that yesterday. One, it would look astonishingly well on the Wii U and two, we haven't had a 3D DK in forever. I think s 3D DK title could easily fit the Wii U.

I would also like to see a 2D Kirby on the 3DS before I see a 3D Kirby on the Wii U. I think he fits better on handhelds, really.

Why? A MMO based off Pokemon would be cool.
