. At least you managed to play them before us.... because you've played them, right?

I played the heck out of Eador, I'm at over 320 hours according to Raptr, Bit less out of Constructor (I preferred it's sequel Mob Wars) and Satellite Reign

Well, congrats! It's a known issue tha not many people play the games they get. It's like the Diogenes syndrome, only with games.

... and I have to confess that I suffer a bit of that.

I do so, too. I have quite some games in my library that I didn't play yet or just once. That said, Eador belongs to one of my favorite genres, so of course I played the heck out of it.

Btw, I'm not even close at finishing it's campaign, that game is loooooooooong

Blizzard brings paid premium mods/maps to StarCraft 2 Arcade
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/blizzard-brings-paid-premium-mods-maps-to-starcraft-2-arcade/
Blizzard has announced that with the release of the StarCraft II patch 4.3.0, it will bring paid premium maps to StarCraft 2 Arcade. As the team noted, these two high-quality premium Arcade maps promise to offer different kinds of experiences and when you purchase them, a share of the sales will go directly to the developers who made them.

>>The question is, how big is that share that developers of the maps will recieve? Because that's an important part of it.

Brutal Duke Nukem 3D alpha version is now available for download
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/brutal-duke-nukem-3d-alpha-version-is-now-available-for-download/
Created by Duke4’s member ‘RPD Guy ‘ – and obviously inspired by Sergeant_Mark_IV’s Brutal mod for Doom – this mod increases the blood effects. (Floor, wall and ceiling decals, bloodspray effects, jibs, shells, actors and some sound effects). As the modder noted, all the effects were created by himself and he re-used many sprites from the game and from other games.

>>This is the direct download link.

Help demons come to terms with their crappy jobs in the Doom mod 'Mr. Friendly'
https://www.pcgamer.com/help-demons-come-to-terms-with-their-crappy-jobs-in-the-doom-mod-mr-friendly/
One of my odd little videogame quirks is that I always try to wait for new enemies I encounter to take the first shot. As a child, I had this strange, faint idea that maybe if I didn't shoot, they wouldn't either—that maybe my restraint would lead me down some super-secret path to videogame glory that all the trigger-happy chumps out there (which is to say, everyone but me) were too dumb to figure out.
It never worked out that way, obviously, and 95 percent of my videogame problems continue to be solved at the end of a virtual gun. But a new Doom mod called Mr. Friendly, created by former 2K and Double Fine developer (and noted Doom fan) JP LeBreton, delivers that sort of fanciful outcome by converting one of the most notoriously violent FPSes in history into an opportunity to talk it out.

>>It can be downloaded from Itch.io, but it requires GZDoom 3.3 to work.

Devolver Digital's "compact action-RPG" The Swords of Ditto, which as we noted last year stands out from the crowd by rejecting the retro-pixelated look in favor of a sharp, more detailed visual style, will be out tomorrow. To mark the coming of the big day, Devolver and developer onebitbeyond have whipped up a launch trailer that shows off the lovely look and teases its promise of "unique adventures linked together."

>>That tomorrow is today.

Following some fairly blatant hints last week, it's now confirmed that Fortnite will launch in China soon – though how soon is still anyone's guess. The publisher is Tencent, of course, and alongside bringing the game to Chinese audiences, the company will also pour a $15 million investment into esports both in China and internationally.

Escape Doodland looks like a lo-fi Rayman Legends
https://www.pcgamer.com/escape-doodland-looks-like-a-lo-fi-rayman-legends/
Escape Doodland, you may have gathered, is a game about escaping Doodland. More specifically, it's a co-op 2D auto-runner with art straight out of the notebook of a bored art student with too much paper on hand. It's also on Kickstarter, with developer appSide Down asking for $7,838 to bring it to life. At the time of writing, its campaign has raised $1,989 and will run for another 26 days.

Fortnite adds plunger-like sticky grenades
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-adds-plunger-like-sticky-grenades/
Fortnite's latest update adds plunger-like sticky grenades, named Clingers. Used to topple enemies and structures alike in both Battle Royale and Save the World.
Obtainable via floor loot, supply drops, supply llamas and treasure chests, the new tool is of Uncommon rarity, and has a 2.5 second explosion delay. If that's strapped to another player, expect to inflict 100 damage. Stickies attached to structures, on the other hand, deal 200.

To this end, intrepid space surfers might uncover new anomalies, or encounter strange beings. They might unearth "hidden traces of an ancient gateway network" or unique solar systems ripe for research. And they might happen upon "unique gargantuan creatures"—who may come in peace or insist that you leave in pieces.

320 hours and you still haven't finished the campaign?! Man, that's either a very long game, or your playstyle is very slow (note that this isn't bad).

Bit of both, plus the fact that I played several skirmishes in between where I wanted to test high-level units and tactics. Thing is, it takes about 10h at least to get to that point if you don't rush.

By the way, if anyone is looking for a "big" 4K HDR monitor/TV, Philips could have launched what you're looking for:

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/news_archive/39.htm#philips_436m6vbpab

Main features:

  • 43" (42.51" to be precise)
  • Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 resolution
  • 60Hz display with Adaptive Sync (48 - 62Hz)
  • MVA panel, probably made by TPV as they're a Philips brand
  • 4000:1 static contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angles
  • Typical input lag of 31ms, but with a low input lag mode that reduces it to 21ms
  • HDR1000 compliant, with a peak brightness of 1000 cd/m2 for HDR content (720 cd/m2 listed as the normal 'typical' brightness), has support for 10-bit colour depth (8-bit+FRC) and a wide colour gamut covering 97.6% DCI-P3
  • 32-zone edge-lit local dimming
  • DisplayPort 1.2, Mini DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.1 Type-C plus 2x USB 3.0 ports
  • 2x 7W stereo speakers with DTS sound
  • Philips "Ambiglow"
  • Supports Picture in Picture (PiP) and Picture by Picture (PbP)
  • Price: 799 €, with the first units arriving in May

Not my cup of tea (too big for me), but it looks like a good enough product

That Panel would almost be perfect for me... If it was 120hz. - When that happens, I am dumping this 32" monitor in the trash.
