A new monster is heading towards Hunt: Showdown's Louisiana swamp. The Assassin is a spirit made out of a swarm of insects and a bundle of rags—just an unassuming pile on the floor that will quickly slice you up. Take a look at the nightmare in action in the first gameplay footage above.
Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris is coming to Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/sword-art-online-alicization-lycoris-is-coming-to-steam/
Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris is such a bizarre title for a videogame, even in the context of other overwrought Sword Art Online subtitles, that I worried at first that maybe it might be an April Fool's gag gone over my head. But I did some poking around and it's legit, so let's have a look at the trailer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout battle royale mode is getting a new map called, and set on, the infamous prison island known as Alcatraz. Activision says players will need to develop new strategies and tactics to succeed on the Rock, which will feature both long-range outdoor fights and tight, close-quarters combat inside.

Destiny 2's upcoming 2.2.1 update will increase the drop rate of weapons in The Reckoning, the not-quite-horde mode that pits players against the Taken in a timed PvE event with persistent modifiers. Bungie will also be adding most of the weapons to the Gambit Prime loot pool to make it easier for players to pick up those hard-to-get Season of the Drifter weapons.

Brendan Green, the "PlayerUnknown" of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, recently announced that after five years of working on PUBG, he's moving on to something else. He's remaining at PUBG Corp, however, at the head of a new division called PUBG Special Projects, which he said "will explore new possibilities of interaction and connection within the game space."
Rage 2 is getting commentary from NBA Jam's Tim Kitzrow, and no it's not a joke

April Fools is a day when brands and corporations indulge in a little comedy, so you'd be forgiven for thinking that the latest Rage 2 announcement is a bit of a joke. But apparently it's true: for those who pre-order the game, NBA Jam announcer Tim Kitzrow will deliver celebratory quips as you mow down foes in the wasteland.

April Fools' Day is over for another year, thank goodness, but its spectre still looms over us. Don't worry, it's a good spectre. Back in 2018, Endless Space 2 developer Amplitutde Studios teased a dating sim set in its sci-fi universe. Yesterday, it released Love Thyself—A Horatio Story for free.
The PC Gaming Show returns to E3 2019

PC Gamer will broadcast the fifth PC Gaming Show live from E3 on Twitch on Monday, June 10 at 10 AM Pacific.
Last year 1.9 million people watched the PC Gaming Show live. As our annual showcase of unrevealed PC games and hardware returns, I can't help but feel like I'm repeating the same line every year. PC gaming is vibrant. We're in a golden age. Our hobby has never been more exceptional, diverse, and affordable. Duh. All of this was true in 2015, and it's how I describe PC gaming today.
The Glass Staircase is a grim homage to classic PlayStation horror games
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-glass-staircase-is-a-grim-homage-to-classic-playstation-horror-games/
The Glass Staircase is an homage to PS2 survival horror like Haunting Grounds and Italian zombie films, says its creator, but the result seems just as evocative of PS1-era horror, from the fixed camera and tank controls to the '90s 3D art. Check out the trailer below.
Watch a monster murder vikings in this impressive first look at Darkborn

Darkborn, formally known as Project Wight, has finally been shown off in grisly detail. The Outsiders' sneaky first-person tale of vengeance puts us in the shoes of a monster, rather than one of the burly vikings that populate the land. It's pretty grim, but also just pretty. Enjoy a murderous stroll in the woods by watching the gameplay reveal (cheers, IGN) above.
