Why not?

Neither of my PCs are powerful enough.

I have a 2010 HP pre-built desktop with the only upgrade it ever had was a HD Radeon 7850 2GB OC card and a AMD equivalent of a i3 or i5 processor - with 6 GB RAM.

I have a 2014 Asus gaming laptop that has a Nvidia GeForce 750m and a dual core i7 processor - with 8 GB RAM.

I tried running AC3 on my desktop which runs games better than my laptop but the highest FPS I could get at the lowest settings was 20-25 FPS which made the game unbearable to play.

I was going to get at least a pre-built PC last year but I ran out of funds due to spending them on a brand new built house and about...$40,000 worth of new furniture (Beds, sofas, theater sofas, breakfast table, dining table, etc) lol. On top of that I bought a 75'' Sony Bravia x900f TV for about $3,000.

So ya...broke in terms of disposable income.

I was planning to build one but I might just stick to a pre-built. Its gonna be a bit expensive but oh well.

I'm looking forward to getting something with 32 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 2080ti, and a high end i7 processor or one of the new i9 processors.

Well, first of all, congrats on your new home and furniture.

It's strange that your desktop computer can't run it well enough given that the game was even on the Wii U. In any case, you're not missing much.

Good luck on your next PC (either if you build it or buy it) that, if it ends being what you say, will be a beast of a machine.

Still enjoying Risk of Rain 2. It's starting to get a bit grindy though. I wish they improved the boss fights somehow.

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/amd-radeon-software-adrenalin-2019-edition-19-4-1-released-fixes-various-issues/
AMD has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.4.1 driver fixes various issues such as an intermittent crash or application hang when MSAA is enabled in World of Warcraft patch 8.1.5 or later.
Furthermore, this driver resolves an intermittent graphical corruption when game settings are set to minimum on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products in World of Tanks, an issue that could prevent Radeon WattMan’s auto overclock to raise engine clocks past default levels on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products, as well as an issue that could make the mouse cursors to disappear or move out of the boundary of the top of a display on AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics.

Doom Eternal XP brings flamethrowers and swords to Doom 2
https://www.pcgamer.com/doom-eternal-xp-brings-flamethrowers-and-swords-to-doom-2/
It's going to be a while until we get to murder demons in new and gruesome ways in Doom Eternal, but we can still play with a lot of the new toys thanks to some hard-working Doom 2 modders. Doom Eternal XP collects and modifies a bunch of these weapons and mechanics in one handy mod, and it's got a lot of additional features, too.
The mod's creator, Officer_D, initially made an experience-giving mod, but when Doom Eternal was revealed last year, they started to hunt down assets and resources that the community had already designed and put them together. Doom XP was quickly renamed Doom Eternal XP, and since then it's enjoyed regular updates and bug fixes.
New melee weapons like the nasty wrist-mounted Doom Blade and demonic Crucible have been added, so you can slice and dice your way through legions of demons and save your bullets. Or you can just torch the lot of them with your shoulder-mounted flamethrower, which looks amazing

https://www.pcgamer.com/hunt-showdowns-new-boss-is-made-out-of-insects-and-rags/

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris is coming to Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/sword-art-online-alicization-lycoris-is-coming-to-steam/
Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris is such a bizarre title for a videogame, even in the context of other overwrought Sword Art Online subtitles, that I worried at first that maybe it might be an April Fool's gag gone over my head. But I did some poking around and it's legit, so let's have a look at the trailer.

The PC Gaming Show returns to E3 2019

PC Gamer will broadcast the fifth PC Gaming Show live from E3 on Twitch on Monday, June 10 at 10 AM Pacific.
Last year 1.9 million people watched the PC Gaming Show live. As our annual showcase of unrevealed PC games and hardware returns, I can't help but feel like I'm repeating the same line every year. PC gaming is vibrant. We're in a golden age. Our hobby has never been more exceptional, diverse, and affordable. Duh. All of this was true in 2015, and it's how I describe PC gaming today.

The Glass Staircase is a grim homage to classic PlayStation horror games
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-glass-staircase-is-a-grim-homage-to-classic-playstation-horror-games/
The Glass Staircase is an homage to PS2 survival horror like Haunting Grounds and Italian zombie films, says its creator, but the result seems just as evocative of PS1-era horror, from the fixed camera and tank controls to the '90s 3D art. Check out the trailer below.

Watch a monster murder vikings in this impressive first look at Darkborn
https://www.pcgamer.com/watch-a-monster-murder-vikings-in-this-impressive-first-look-at-darkborn/
Darkborn, formally known as Project Wight, has finally been shown off in grisly detail. The Outsiders' sneaky first-person tale of vengeance puts us in the shoes of a monster, rather than one of the burly vikings that populate the land. It's pretty grim, but also just pretty. Enjoy a murderous stroll in the woods by watching the gameplay reveal (cheers, IGN) above.

Not sure if you posted this already but Borderlands 3 will most likely be Epic Store exclusive for some time after launch. I will repeat what I said in the other threads. I hate artificial exclusives but I hate Valve even more, so go Epic!

I love Borderlands and I will probably sink hundreds of hours into Borderlands 3 and I have absolutely no problem buying it on a different storefront.

It's the fourth article in today's first news post.

I don't like exclusives on consoles, except for first party titles, and I like them even less on PC. In any case, I never buy games at launch so most of these temporal exclusivities mean nothing to me, except for letting me know how some of those developers and publishers that always claim to care about customers really are.

And in the case of Borderlands 3, to be honest I didn't like 2 and, after all the DLCs and GOTY editions that the previous games in the franchise have had, it's more sensible to wait for the inevitable GOTY edition of Borderlands 3.

No, he says that he doesn't mind if it's a short exclusivity deal like 6 months or so, not that it will be that short/long. And so far, all the exclusivity deals for the Epic Store have been for at last a year.

Considering you don't like Borderlands 2 you have forfeited your humanity and valid opinions anyway.

Also, why would you like software exclusivity less than hardware exclusivity? I'd rather install a million different clients than buy a million plastic DRM boxes that pretend to be legitimate gaming options.

In other news: Steam is down. If only it didn't also have timed exclusivity for 99% of all games, then I could actually play something right now. Isn't a monopoly a great thing?

I honestly don't know why I didn't liked Borderlands 2. I liked the first one so much that I bought the physical GOTY and played, and when I tried to reinstall it to play again a couple years later, the codes to activate the DLCs didn't work. So I bought it on Steam, and played it till the end (the regular one, not the big ass boss).

But when I started with the second... it didn't felt the same. I have to give it another go sometime.

Also, I understand first party exclusives on consoles because those studios belong to the hardware maker and those games are the main selling point of their hardware, so it would be fool to expect them to sell those games on other platforms.

But that's all I find acceptable, and for PC where everything works on the same hardware it's just plain stupid. I could understand, tho, if Valve, CD Projekt or Epic released their own games only on their store, but with third parties... no, just no.

Just saw Warcraft on GOG, seriously at this rate the whole Blizzard catalogue will be available on GOG. Too bad they'll never release the Diablo 1 expansion, though. Blizzard hated it and considered it a breach of trust from Sierra, mostly due to the inclusion of a barbarian class which breaks canon and which Blizzard specifically forbid to be included.

Who else here played WarCraft 1 before?

I played Warcraft 1 WAY back.  Back when it was the only Warcraft game in existence.  It was good at the time, but when Warcraft 2 came out, it was SO much better and there are some game mechanics and a lack of quality of life features that make this game much harder to play today.
