Is this the general PC gaming thread? Just wanted to say I was a Kickstarter backer and I've been enjoying The Bards Tale 4 quite a bit. It's not a game for everyone. Performance/Optimization is poor and the UI seems pretty buggy but the actual gameplay mechanics I think are great. If you like old school dungeon crawlers/RPGs with an emphasis on puzzle solving and you can tolerate optimization/performance issues then I highly recommend it. I've got 10 hours into it and it's like a complete blast from the past. The way they did turn-based grid combat is excellent and the voice acting in particular is quite impressive for a 'AA' title.

The news:

Dead by Daylight has sold five million copies worldwide, is free to play this whole week
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/dead-by-daylight-has-sold-five-million-copies-worldwide-is-free-to-play-this-whole-week/
Behaviour Digital has announced that its survival-horror game, Dead by Daylight, has reached 5 million copies sold worldwide. Dead by Daylight was released on June 16th, 2016, and it took the team two years in order to hit the 5 million goal.
Dead by Daylight is currently free to play on Steam. For the next six days, players can download and play this survival-horror game for free. The free to play version gives access to the base game, and does not include the paid DLCs that have been released these past two years.

>>The game is also 50% off as part of being one of Steam's Midweek Madness deals. The other two and the daily deals are:

SCUM has sold one million copies in less than a month
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/scum-has-sold-one-million-copies-in-less-than-a-month/

Get Binary Domain for $1 in the latest Humble Bundle
https://www.pcgamer.com/get-binary-domain-for-dollar1-in-the-latest-humble-bundle/
If you haven't played Binary Domain, now's the time to do so: you can get it for a mere buck in the latest Humble Bundle sale, which supports the charity SpecialEffect. That dollar also gets you Streets of Rage, Crazy Taxi and Olli Olli 2. Frankly, even if you're not a fan of third-person shooters (I'm not), I reckon Binary Domain is worth a look.
If you donate more than the average (which at the time of writing, is $6.52), you'll also get Surgeon Simulator, Grid 2, Operation Flashpoint: Red River and Alpha Protocol. You're probably sick of hearing it, but it bears repeating: Alpha Protocol is an underrated gem.
If you pay more than $9 there are two other games: Stronghold Crusader 2 and the Guardians of the Galaxy Telltale series. Check out the bundle over here.

>>Meanwhile, on the Humble Store there are two more sales:

At GOG, the daily deal is Battlevoid: Harbinger, 80% off: https://www.gog.com/game/battlevoid_harbinger

And at Fanatical, they're still running their Bundle Blast sale. Check it out for new deals.

It's a nice jump, but not as big as hoped. And that the 1080Ti can beat the 2080 in several games isn't very good news.

It kind of is. It's more like a shelter to talk about PC and PC games, even if we sometimes get a bit derailed.

Conina will be glad to see another Bards Tale supporter, specially after the thread he's made.

Honestly, looking at those benchmarks, I think 2080/Ti are pretty bad given how much time has passed since 1080 and how much they're priced.

Yeah, I'm also back in Skara Brae.

Checked out the computerbase review. Slightly better than my expectation. I might even go for a FE myself since they turned out this good. If I can get my hands on one.

The 2080Ti is good, but the vanilla 2080 isn't that much better than a 1080Ti, and there won't be much of a price difference between them.
