I think there are nothing new in this firmware except the trophy notificantion option found in the v4.45.

The good part is that it can fix the brinked PS3 vith v4.45.

Not just that because the firmware is mandatory... I needed to update (everything fine) to login into PSN.

So you will need to play online games or even to send message to your friends
