يوسف مهدي وحش!

You persian?

No, I'm Arabic. But good observation. Arabic and Fursi (Persian) have almost identical alphabet.  I can read Persian fluently but I have no idea what it means X-D

Yosuf Mehdi is a 100% Arabic name thus why I made my initial post in Arabic.

I'm from Iraq originally so i can very well speak arabic as well, the letters looked a little weird that's why i suspected persian :P

Anyways, this Yusuf Mehdi guy, is he Morrocan? I'm happy he's made to the industry, but he's backing the wrong horse hehe :D

I do believe xbox 1 will sell ore eventually, the masses keep on buying iphones while the galaxy s brand has more powerful phones and more open environment. That is of course if Sony does not implement video chat, online distribution, and some sort of tv functionality to their box. The difference would be option with the ps4 whereas mandate with the Xbone

Sony went for the now. Microsoft went for being relevant 5 years from now.

Microsoft are creating a steam service for console that is actually far better than steam. 10 games in family share pisses all over Nything Sony has showed. Especially quashing used games and lending on ps4.

if anything ps4 better hope with its measily 1gb gddr 5 allocated to oa that its possible. Because everyone knows gddr is only good for gpu. Ddr is needed for cpu.

My money is on the system that allows gamers to play games bought off Ebay and played via Gamefly.

sony said same thing that thier console will win in the end, which it more or less has now, anybody that says the wii won needs reality check

you never know few years down the line when homes are 100% connected and devices like Xbox1 are all the rage they could pull ahead

Most certainly the Wii won. Wii provided a huge boost to Nintendo and I am no fan of either the Wii or Nintendo.  Also even though it looks like the PS3 squeaked by the 360 this year in hardware sales the PS3 certainly did not win.  Sony was king and a very healthy company when the PS3 was readying release.  The PS3 nearly killed the company.  The massive losses that were forced on Sony by cutting prices on the PS3 rapidly at the same time MS simply just slowly reduced the price of the 360 and to this day the console with HDD is only been reduced in price $100.  This was no victory for Sony.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

They couldn't even win this generation with everything going for them.

This was my first thought. How will this work when the PS3 launched $200 more, a year later, and did practically everything to kill itself, yet still won't come in 3rd place? Out of the gate, the PS4 has no such issues.

Your acting as if Microsoft was some established brand going against another established brand. There is a lot more to judge the success of a console race than saying my company sold 1 million more than you.

You can't ignore profits, market share, and mind share.

Going from 25 million to 77 million is a major success.

Going from 100 plus to just passing your rivals at the end of the cycle while losing market and mind share and your company in shambles is not a win.

And please save me the 3rd place crap. Sony just passed Microsoft by a pubic hair and now OMG Microsoft is going into the next gen in 3rd place how will they ever handle it.

It could happen people never gave the 350 any chance with all of the rrod issues

There is this rumor floating around

http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/15/xbox-one-is-basically-steam-in-console-format-claims-anonymous-ms-engineer-rumor/

basically, it says that the xboxone is trying to be steam, if they succeed then the xboxone will absolutely beat the ps4 in the long run.

Agreed. MS has "future proofed" the console. If the online takes off and not only will you buy games for less than the competition but can share them free with 10 people takes off.. Why wouldn't you buy ONE? The $499 spent will make itself back with game sharing within a year if used frequent enough.

Sony has the first couple of years locked in though I'd think.
